20hrs? that would be a lot of money around here....round 500 bucks or so.

looks great, but 20 hrs seems like a bit much. that car must have been in some horrendous shape.

im sure you charge what you need to survive or you wouldnt be in this business. i personally couldnt detail cars, i tired when i was younger and working for a bmw/porsche dealer, but it was really hard work for the pay.

i would think it would take less time for a guy with a lot of exp. i thought the 20hrs was more of a "booked time" than the time it actually took to do the ride.

great job in any case. may i ask what products you use?

naw richie, you dont come off as an ass, just someone who takes pride in their work.

i was trained by the dealership on how to detail and how many cars i had to turn out every day. i really hated the job. if you do bill hour for hour, that is really decent of you to do. i dont even do that working in the computer field.

im paid the same whether it takes me 10 minutes or 2 hours to finish a job ive been contracted to do.

what products do you use by chance?

    Very nice work.

I employ a body man and a painter. I want to keep what I have. It's real hard to get quality work in the automotive field. I've had a few. I think I've seen every screw up possible. LOL But,,, I'm very happy with what I have now. I've come to realise, you can't get a good body man & a good painter in 1. That's why I have one of each.

I know what it takes to make paint look that nice. Kudos to you. The sad part is,, I've seen cars behind velvet ropes, everyone standing around is gwacking about how nice the car is. And I see issues in the paint.
