The closer to 1.0 you are and the longer you can maintain it has a direct relashonship to how much a restriction your intake has.

What were the cam specs again?It's entirely possible your cylinder pressures are just waaay high.

Actually that creates more pressure under the hood.The belly pans will help to somewhat create a vacuum.
I have yet to see a CF hood that didn't need them.....watch your hood as you drive,bet it scares you once you realize how much movement and lift...
