I believe that for vehicles as a whole there are less Jeeps made. ~3000 for '06 & Inferno Red was only offered on the Jeep in '06.

Yes, it's the 4/5spd used on the 4.7L(&5.7L?). It has dual 2nd gears, one normal & one for the downshift. I've never heard they weren't good...
