    The reaons I think something may be wrong is that I downloaded a couple of their custom gauges from their library and looked at the images/frames. They seem to have dupes. The data sheet says that the low and high range for AFR is 10 to 20. Yet in the corresponding value listed in the table for Frame 0 and Frame 99 they have 10 and 18... Like I said, I guess it's possible that the DM ignores values higher than 18 but still uses 100 frames to display. If not, then they have an increasing error as you go up in AFR. The error around 12.8 would be .7 -- that's large. Here is the top and bottom of the spreadsheet where I mapped those two gauges. On the Ferrari gauge (analog only) there are no dupes and the needle does move each frame from 10 to 18.

    Yeah, that's what I thought I was seeing watching the needles and the digits. The dupes are fairly easy to spot, the needle moves but the digits don't.

    Let me know what they say, and I will finish up....

    Will do! Hopefully I will be going over there tomorrow afternoon (PDT) to pick up the actual display unit and I will nail down an engineer if they don't get back to me by email first. Whenever I call the marketing person answers. Nice girl but she keeps pointing to the user manuals... I spoke to one of the hardware engineers the first time I was there and I think he'd have the answers and understand the question.

    Ok. I couldn't get a really concise answer out of them so I set everything up on my "bench" and watched the display gauge and the data logger output voltage at the same time. It seems that they do indeed run the display gauge from 10 to 18 AFR.

    Just before the voltage on the data logger output hit 4v (range 0-5) the display was up to 18. So I guess the gauge would be numbered from 10 to 18 and the increment would be 0.08 per frame. Probably be easiest to read, rounding the digital to tenths.

    frame0: 10.00 -> 10.0 -> "RICH"
    frame1: 10.08 -> 10.1
    frame2: 10.16 -> 10.2
    frame3: 10.24 -> 10.2
    frame4: 10.32 -> 10.3
    frame5: 10.40 -> 10.4
    frame6: 10.48 -> 10.5
    frame7: 10.56 -> 10.6
    frame8: 10.64 -> 10.6
    ...
    frame96: 17.68 -> 17.7
    frame97: 17.76 -> 17.8
    frame98: 17.84 -> 17.8
    frame99: 17.92 -> 17.9 -> "LEAN"

    I'm not sure where it comes from but for each gauge is in it's own folder. all the frames and 1 file called "ALBUM.abm". Are they generating that or is that a photoshop thing? Seems that the utility program that uploads custom gauges to the DM-100 looks for that file?
    Thanks.

    This is what I was afraid of....

    This will take a considerable amount of re-working. That's why I stopped where I did!

    I will get working on finishing this up this weekend. I can't really do it this week, but I will get back to it soon.

    The file called ALBUM.abm must be generated by the utility, that is not something that photoshop would create.

    NO problem. It's a trememdous effort you're putting out here. Can't say thanks enough.

    I was really impressed when I fired the thing up. Can you say "VIVID" colors? For all the standard displays you can change the colors to what you want. ticks, text, labels, needle, background, etc. You can load 8 160x128 images to select from for wall paper if you want a pic for the background. I was browsing on their forum and some guy has taken the guts/screen out of the 60mm display and installed it in his rear view mirror! cut a square hole in the back of the housing, scraped the mirror coating off the back of the glass in a square to fit the oled screen. haha, really cool. I suspect our mirror might be filled up already. Only failing I can see is there is no dimmer function. Same brightness in daytime or nighttime. Have to see how that works out. Possible workaround might be to have a dimmer custom gauge for night time and use the standard in the daytime. I think maybe they're working on this as an enhancement request. They should be able to implement that and it would only require a firmware upgrade to the control module. In the mean time some guys with electrical skillz have added some resistor or something with a toggle switch to reduce power to the display.

    Man! Can't believe that I forgot about this. I will continue some work on your gauge.
