I recently received my slightly used 22's. Now I have my original export wheels for the track and US wheels as my daily driver.

It appears the tire pressure sensors might be on different frequencies. I would like to have both sets of wheels working with the info system so I can keep track of pressures.

How much should I expect to pay for new sensors? Is there anyway I can make the US' spec'd wheels work? Are the sensors built into the wheel stems or ?

    :thanks: in advance

The sensors have their own valve stem. Seperate from the actual valve stem you would use to air up or down the tires.

Not sure if their are any differences between Overseas and US spec'd sensors.

Did your 22's come with sensors?

If so, slap those puppies on and drive a few miles and the sensors will adjust themselves.

If not, the sensors are $50 a piece here in the States.

    How bout some pictures? :D

They are attached to the valve stem. You can get them from a dealer or from some vendors on this forum. I believe GSM and HHP can both get them.

My 22's came with them but not working. I had hoped it was the computer messed up because I was also carrying my stock wheels. But.... today the sensors are definitely not working.
I tried linking photos in my first post but they don't seem to be coming up. Now if only I can find a supplier for export model sensors. I haven't had any luck with the dealer here.

    pics can be found-

damn, those look GREAT on the Jeep.

Are you getting the tire sensor light on the gauge cluster?

How are you determining that the sensors do not work?

    Just trying to assist. ;)

I get the service tire pressure system on the info... plus the pressure just has -- .. Weird thing was they didn't drop off until I got 10 miles down the road from the tire shop. I took the factory wheels out and again drove 10 miles before the service message appeared and the pressures dropped off again. On a different forum, someone mentioned exports use a different frequency than the states... The dealer here is beyond useless. I am thinking I will have a hard time getting them to understand what I need and not sure whether they would install the sensors in the new wheels if I did throw some money at them. :) I'm thinking I might drive over to Bahrain and see if I can buy the sensors and then find someone to install them. The usual mark up is about 100%...... grrrrrr.....

Those are probably the best looking aftermarket wheels for the Jeep I like them alot I've been thinking about getting some for the Cayenne.

They need to be rolling for a little while before they communicate with the system (when you get new ones). I thought they forgot to re-install mine because they weren't working...that is until I started driving.
