For those that have paid, or those that haven't yet? Maybe try PM's or email to those who haven't paid yet. Just a thought.
Assuming Indy doesn't float away between now and Wednesday evening, the forecast is looking pretty good. We're in the rhealm of at least some continuity and certainty in the weather being only five days off. I reserve the right to change my mind though 8pm Friday: http://www.weather.unisys.com/gfs/4d/gfs_4panel_4d.html More rain in the area, possibly re-aggrivating areas that floded early in the week. 8am Saturday: http://www.weather.unisys.com/gfs/4e/gfs_4panel_4e.html Rain is well off to the east with some clearing with a morning low around freezing. Barometer at 1024 and rising. 8pm Saturday: http://www.weather.unisys.com/gfs/5d/gfs_4panel_5d.html Partly cloudy through the day, the barometer maybe climbing to 1026 with a high only in the lower 40s. Assuing everything is dry enough to race, the density altitude with a 800 foot elevation, 40 degree temp, 30 degree dew point and 1025 barometer is: http://www.pilotfriend.com/calcs/calculators/density.htm -600 ! :yahoo: I'll try to keep an eye on this for you guys. Eric
Coming to town Friday night anyone? Want to get together? See here: http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?p=1437142#post1437142
I will be there early Saturday morning. I have to work a double friday, yuk. Is the weather going to hold?
Rachel and I will be there late Friday night, about 10PM or so. Keith and his better half will be convoy'ing over with us. We're at the Hampton Inn, and their hotel room is across the street (forgot the name). With Keith not being 21 yet, a restaurant/bar might be a better option for us. The SRT-10 guys are *infamous* for torturing Applebee's franchises. Anything close where we can keep that tradition alive? Oh, and I NEED a Bob Evans for Sat. morning. I think there's a few places to eat/drink/meet/burnout (oops...did I say that aloud?) at the intersection of I-74 and the Brownsburg exit. EDIT- I just got off the phone with Gary at X-Metal. Unfortunately, Saturday is their busiest day at the shop, so he'll be unable to attend this event. He said he hoped we all had a great time and he'll try like hell to make it to some other events.
Oh guys, this weather system is slowing down...may be a little rain or snow left over on Saturday morning. What are the local weather goons saying JMatt? Did you float away? Eric
I will be down Friday night. So far Scarbs, D's300c, aarcuda, and myself will be caravaning leaving around noon from Chicagoland. If anyone else is interested in Caraning, or meeting up with us on our way South through Indiana, let us know. Eric (Scarbs) mentioned an Oasis in Hinsdale near the 55 exit.
Kevan.....are they on the same time we are ? ....if it's snowing or raining, just start without me. I took the wiper blades off and lost them....no way I'm buying new ones just to go over to IN, and end up never using them again. I doubt anyone is going over on 70 Saturday morning through Dayton...If so shoot me a PM.
IN is on CST (they're one hour behind us). Your wiper arms/blades are in the garage. Look over in the corner.
NO NO NO NO!!!!! Indiana (at least most of it, including Indianapolis) Is eastern time, including eastern daylight savings time. They changed our time zone a year ago. Indiana is now ALWAYS on time with New York (and Ohio) and ALWAYS one hour ahead of Chicago. (some border counties are different - but not Indy).
There will be no food or drink available to buy at the track correct. Can you leave....race over somewhere close....and race back ?
Dude, that sig pic is freakin' hysterical. But to answer your question, did they not tell you this is a fast AND fasting weekend? Puzzy! Fine then.....Leave for your "food" and come back to be .02 slower in the quarter. srsly tho....something may already be in the works. Standby. I can't believe you're the first to bring it up.
I can get to the food....I'll just follow one of these Indiana National Guard Guys.
We were thinking of charging $10 a head for anyone who wants all you can eat Pizza Hut, and we'll just order a boatload of pizzas. Thoughts?
Not to be a cheapbastard, but $10/head is kinda pricey. I can get (2) Large pizzas, loaded, for $20. That's more than enough for Rachel and I. And, for that amount of pizzas, the place better cut a helluva deal.
