Who do you use and when you call tech support do you speak to a person or have to submit a email ? Im getting fed up with Canaca and looking new host
i use inmotion, had godaddy for a couple years then made the switch. i found it to be much faster and never really had an issue in 4 years.
Thanks folks, I had checked into GoDaddy. Do you have any tips for moving your website ? I have about 20gig of pictures, documents and photos, while I have a high speed connection it will take forever to upload everything onto my home computer and then upload onto new server. John
Wow! 20 GB!! That's a LOT of data. Tips? :hmm: -If you have an FTP program use it! This usually speeds things up at least a little. -Make sure that you keep a good copy somewhere different from your upload source. -Stop all non-essential services and background programs before beginning your upload. -if possible, don't upload from an external drive. Going through the bus will slow it down A LOT!
Well, I totally forgot: If you are moving from one host to another, you should be able to use an FTP Program to move it directly to the new host. (This is why I had said to make sure you have a good backup copy.) If you don't have a decent FTP Program, although it sounds like you might already, CoffeeCup.com makes some decent, inexpensive, easy to use website software. Their FTP program is pretty good! http://www.coffeecup.com/direct-ftp/
