For those of you guys that don't know me my name is Anthony Galto and I'm a 30 year old car fanatic. Besides cars the only thing that can top them are my family. I have a wife named Leah and I have a little man named Joseph. Joseph is a fun loving, energetic, lovable kid who loves to learn, play with his mommy and daddy, and loves to play on the computer. Joe is a 3 and half year old, and a few months ago while giving him a bath we noticed a small callus looking type of bump on the bottom of his left foot. We immediately took him to his primary care doctor and they told us that they thought he had some type of foreign body in his foot and that it would most likely surface in time and then could be removed. Well as it kept growing in size over the next two months we went to a slew of doctors and hospitals and finally got a diagnosis. What Joey has on the bottom of his foot is called a "soft tissue sarcoma". This cancerous tumor, which was the size of a grape, needed to be removed. It has recently been removed and he is healing. Further tests that were run, show that all the cancerous cells were removed and he no longer has any of it left in his entire body. Currently my little man has a cast on his entire left leg and it is bent in a position which prevents him from being able to walk (so this could heal faster). My wife and I are both at home with him helping to tend to his every need. We love him very much and it brightens our day to see a smile on his face. When Joey received his first get well card today, he was ecstatic. I was thinking that may be some of you guys that I've been friends with over the years and even those that I may have never met could possibly send him some mail. You could make a childs day. Here is a picture of the his foot after the surgery. Since they took so much flesh from the bottom of his foot they had to complete a skin graph and that is where they take skin from another part of the body (this case his thigh) and place it where it's needed. If you could guys and girls, please take the time and send a card, or a prayer his way. I love him very much!!!!! Oh man...I feel for your poor little gaffer and the entire family. Please let me know what he likes (cartoon characters or any other favorite things) I would like to work on an image for him that would put a smile on his face. I do it for my nieces and nephews and they love them. PM me a picture of him and what he likes a lot and we will be praying for you guys. My heart goes out to all of you and our wishes are for his speedy recovery.
well..first...GREAT news that they got it all...defiantly makes my day to hear that... second...i hope the healin process goes well...and i'll be getting the little man a car on my way home from work today!
Wow! I hope that little Joseph makes a complete and speedy recovery! And I am glad that they got it all!! Good thing that you kept taking him to different Doctors until it was correctly diagnosed! Prayers and other things coming his way!
Havok- I hope you have lots of room at your house. I remember when IndyCoder (Phil) was injured at Nats 2 years ago and taken to the hospital in a coma. I went to visit him a bunch of times, and each time it got harder and harder for me to get through the door- SO MANY CARDS! It was unreal to see a bunch of hardcore forum truck guys band together and hammer his hospital room with sincere well-wishes. I'm glad to hear that they got it all. I'm sure the recovery process will be 0.0% fun too, but it'll be worth it in the end. Just tell him that chicks dig scars. I'll see if we can pick up something cool for him.
Keep your head up. I hope a Youth Small will fit the little dude. You have something on the way just for him. :towel:
Everyone here is praying for a speedy recovery for your treasure named Joseph. (Joseph, Kathleen, William, Bradley, Cameron & Madison) Ottawa, Canada
we are certainly happy that ALL of the cancerous cells have been removed and that your boy's health is well on his way to a full recovery. Know that ALL of our thoughts and prayers are with him. I am certain that this SRT family will brighten little Joseph's day with some mail.
Man this very sad, I send you and your family all the best. Is their anything specifically he wants? I know how it is to have a loved one have cancer. My GF of 4 years was recently diagnosed with Papillary cancer back in January. All is well know, but man it is a very hard process. Let me know if there is anything I can do. Marcel
So sorry to hear about this Tony. I hope he has a speedy recovery. My Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
oh geez! your little kid is a trooper!! I'm glad everything went well. My blessing goes out to you and your family bro!
Thanks guys/girls for all the support. He's gonna be just fine. He's a tough little shit. For those of you that asked, he loves cars, sesame street, elmo, wiggles, dora, etc.
I am picking up a Hot Wheels just for him today. I have a little guy the same age as yours I can't imagine what it would be like to have him go through that. You have our prayers and I will try to brighten his day with something neat.
...UPS is bringing a box from Ohio for the little guy. Please open it quick not sure how much water that fish is going to need.
