what is the stock idle vacuum supposed to be on these cars.. mine seems off to say the least. on my tiburon (which was obviously a custom turbo job) i was running about 23in/hg of vacuum. on other srt4s i have seen around 20in/hg of vacuum. at idle mine is around 15. but it boosts fine, just after it gets to about ~15psi or w/e stock is at, the needle bounces around and settles at like 11psi. any ideas.. id just assume figuring this out before i upgrade the WGA, BOV, hardpipes, etc.
vacuum depends a great deal on altitude, seeing that abq is approx 5800ft that is a perfectly normal reading.
It also depends on the gauge. Stock gauge I read around 12 inHg switched over to an autometer ultra lite and I was at 20 and if I look at the reading off my scan gauge I am at 23, all at idle of course.
ahh.. i never thought of the altitude thing. i was at like 600 feet before, and now i am like 5000 feet higher, so that could make sense.. i also read different vacuum in detroit with my autometer and my megan racing guage by like 3-4in/hg. ill look into checking some of the piping connections/BOV tighteness, etc. and check if i have any noticable leaks. thanks guys.. and girls :thumb3:
