Did anybody just see the show on speed tv called "pass time". They had a guy with a silver SRT8 jeep that said it was a supercharged 426 makin 550hp. The show was filmed in Chandler, Arizona so I figured it was from AZ speed/marine? The dude ran a 12.97?????? How is that even possible. Way to embarrass the jeep community.
if i couldnt drive it for crap, i wouldnt have admitted to having all that power. how do you f up awd?
We watched that last night, didnt see the Jeep, but most of the cars that ran were way slower than they should have been based on mods/hp. There was a tubbed old school mopar putting out 900 hp that ran 12.xx! Whats up w that!
I saw it too! I was going to post up the same thing..I couldn't believe it...do you think they BS on that show or something because it didn't look like he spun or bogged to much either.
Well that drag strip is at 1250 ft b4 DA and it looked like a hot nite there but it still should of been in the 12.00 to 12.20s. I just looked at the time slips data and the fastest s/c jeep went 1140s at 1300 ft with 500 + HP.
426 supercharged they serious, must he have the worst built 426 block ever and a Stupid driver for sure to get 12.97!!
I didn't see the Jeep one (and it sounds REALLY pathetic, you Jeep guys should go find that dude and beat some skill into him, lol) but I started to watch one the other day only they were going for the slowest time, or something like that, and the cars reallys sucked so I turned it off. I'll have to check it out again sometime.
I really didn't get it after watching it myself. At first I thought, maybe it was like 120 degrees out and humid as all hell...but then they had a twin turbo V12 Mercedes SL running 11.10's with no problem. 608ish hp out of the factory they said.
My friend called me yesterday and we were discussing the show as he watched it too. He's a big GM guy and brought up that sllllooooowwwwwwww Jeep run. I guess the Mercedes TT was running 21 psi so it was far from stock config. That Jeep SUCKED! Show yourself and explain why you haven't left it under a dark bridge overnight BEFORE goin on Pass Time! :what:

We have days and nights that mildly modded LX SRT8's run in the 14's, and so would yours. .If your best ets are in low or negative DA, your car will run a second slower in Phoenix on a fairly warm day, maybe even worse on a really hot day. Our summers are like somes winters. We don't race. Under any circumstances, 12.9 from a sc 426 is pathetic.
I watched that show once before. The one I watched had a kid with his brand new Hyabusa run down the track for the first time. I think he was 17 and had a little over 100 miles on the bike. That kid could ride! I think he ran 9.2!
My friend was just telling me about it and I was telling him he must have seen it wrong. I couldn't believe he would run a 12.97 with a supercharger, but I guess he was right after reading this thread.
