Tranny went last night........ thank god!!!!....... ive had problems with 3rd gear for 2 years now and every time i told the Stealer ship about it they said it was just stiff gears........ so now they can fuckin!! choke on this hahahahhahahahhah me....... 67,317 miles........ and they just replaced my heads at 57,000 miles so my car is like half new lol
Some places around albuquerque have been offering these HUGE extended warranties. So I assume others are doing it too. I am waiting for my 3rd to start getting pissed with me.
ya its an 05 with 67,000 miles on it.... i have the 100, warranty so im good..... but ya last night i was driving and 3rd was impossible to get into all day yesterday so i planned on takin it in today but about 10 last night i shifted into 5th and it was really weird so went back into 4th and nothin the shifter goes in circles lol.... so there on the side of the road i put the stock shifter back on ( had the perrrin sts) and had it towed in....... while waitin for the tow guy i managed to get it into reverse and it just made a wind noise
Ouch and thats alot of miles for an 05 my 03 has 85k but than again i didnt drive it for almost 2 yrs
my 03 has 32 tranny problems suck. i'm on my second tranny and i just had to get it rebuilt. input shaft snapped. replaced 3/4th and some other odds and ends while it was in pieces too......
UPDATE!!!!>>>>>>>>>>>> Stealer ship is gonna charge me 700 to remove the tranny!!!! if they find out it not a warranty problem ....... so i ask all of you to wish for it to be warranty probs
Same thing happened to me yesterday at the dealership. They told me $205 to look at and fix boost leak. If it was modified or not a warranty issue. As it turned out it was the guage went bad, and was covered under warranty.
That sucks. I had the 100k warranty too. I had the 3rd gear prob for bout 40k miles and I got 100,300 miles out of mine. NOw I have the Pwerks stage 3 with billet 3/4 shift fork and billet selector, and also cryoed tob fork and centerforce dual friction clutch, solid bushings and mopar sts. I love this setup. It shifts so smooth and tight. Good luck with yours and hope it is warranty
UPDATE!!!>>>>>>>> everything is fixed and under warranty, and i got it back today after week and a half..... GRRRRRR..... and on my way home the tech that worked on my car is next to me on the free way.... he told me to look at the tranny when i get home....... and so i doo and the fuckin thing is from a car that caught fire!!!!!!! no joke if i had a cam id take a pic and u would see.... so now im pissed...... and the center console wasnt even screwed down... they just threw some screws into the bin and left it..... and this is a Lithia Dodge ........not some beat down shop........ im so upset
Make sure to call and bitch. I wouldn't let them get away with burned trans. They will call you to find out if your satisified. I'd give them a bad grade for sure..
F'ing stealership! I bought my 05 with 32k on it in Dec 07 and when I looked at the sticker it said it was certified. I bought it and paid 700 for the extended warranty(85k or 8yrs), drove it for about a week or so and 3rd was popping out when down shifting. Took it in to the place I bought it from, got my free rental and left. Waited a few days to find out what they were going to fix then another day later I get the call. Hello sorry it has taken four days but the car is not able to be under warranty. WTF??? So I ask them what the fuck does that mean and he says well we will fix it but after that no warranty. Got the car back after 2 weeks fixed, called a friend at another dealship and he said it they should of never sold me it since the engine and trans was voided(had S2, and other mods and 3rd was fixed once before). They had to send the $700 back to where I got the loan from so after a month I didnt get a warranty and my payment is 20 dollars extra a month for no reason. I got a little payback though, I went off on the Manager in the show room for 10min. There was 2 couples waiting for test drives and walked out the door with me as I was getting banned from the dealership so two deals lost for them.
