ok folks, i know you are all dying to hear my tales...... first, pics will follow when i get home. the cheap motel i am in has a crappy connection..... day one left from orlando at 8 am est. ran into a few srt's on my way. best was the srt10 night rider (?) that i ran going up I-75 in flordia!!! cool guy and nice little sprint to start things off!!! let me just say that my recent investment in an escort passport paid BIIIIIG dividends today!!! hahahaha drive was long, over 1000 miles today, and i took as many pics of cool things as i could. i ended up in beaumont tx. tonight (10 pm est) and plan on making it to el paso by tomorrow night! the drive was fairly uneventful until i hit horrible rains the last two hours of the drive. nothing like driving through miles of construction zones, barriers only a foot from the car, and the car wants to hydro plane!!! yes, the balloon knot was a bit tight by the end of the drive!!!! anyway, just wanted to let everyone know that day one is in the books, and all is good! the car ran flawless and my new front bra i got from ted at mopar supercenter has done well!!!! check in tomorrow for more updates!!! hehehehe STORY CONTINUED!! ok guys, day two..... day two has me leaving beaumont texas early in the am...... this pic should give you some ideas..... scary friggin place!!! not sure what exactly happened, but i heard some friggin loud screaming/fighting on the floor i was on, and decided to get up and get the fuck out!!!! my journey first went into houston where i hit lots of traffic. then to san antonio. all was very good in the morning and the drive was pretty sedate. when i left san antonio is when things got interesting...... first, i had a run with a c?? amg merc...... i have run these things before in florida and killed them...... i have now decided that elevation is not our friend!!!! i walked him, but not anywhere near like at home!!! unfortunately he bailed off the highway before i could get a shot of him. then the fun part...... as others have stated in this thread, the drive through west texas is pretty crappy!!! well, actually, it is A LOT crappy!!! all you see is this so i got bored and snapped some shots of my joy in west texas (yeah, i cut the hair a bit tight for the trip...... don't want momo to be the only follically challenged eq member!!) so i decide to open things up a bit. mind you, the newly purchased passport has been doing a stellar job thus far. so i am feeling pretty confident.... weeeeelllllll, things can come at you pretty fast!!! hahahaha after seeing a nice looooong stretch of straight road, i open things up. 130 mph for the first spurt. then i here a rattle on the outside of the car!!! WTF!!!! i pull over to see what i the issue turns out the bra straps on the sides came undone..... no biggie, off i go. cruising along and i see another loooooooong stretch. hit again.... this time, the road goes slightly uphill at one point. as i come to the top of the hill, WHAM!!!! the passport goes nutz and i see a trooper going the other way!!!!! FUUUUCK i screamed!!!! i let off the gas and grabbed the camera. this is the pic of what i was doing after i let off and the time it took me to get the camera on.....yes, the speedo still reads a tick over 100mph even after letting off, and trying to grab the camera!!! (note: you know i am one sick phuk if i am thinking of grabbing the camera just to make you all laugh!!!) i then just pulled off the road, even though i did not see the trooper yet.... i knew he was coming!!!! he comes up, i have my hands on the wheel, engine off...... this is paraphrasing the conversation..... cop - "do you know how fast ou were going?" leg - ummmm, fast...... cop - how fast do you think? leg - honestly? cop - yes leg - over 140.... cop - 141 mph to be exact! leg - sounds about right akward pause cop - does this have a V8? leg - (thinking to myself WTF?!?!!?) ..... ummmm, yes cop - i was hoping you were going to keep going so i could see if i could catch you.... leg - *speechless* cop - these things sure are nice..... we just got some for our pursuit cars.... nice, real nice leg - do you want to see my license and registration???? cop - oh yeah.... leg - (handing over info) any chance of a break today (wtf am i thinking.....just got popped for over 140!) cop - yeah...... i saw your plate when i pulled up..... that and i think this is a real nice car.... leg - (now smiling) thanks cop - where in florida do you live leg - orlando cop - oh yeah, me and my family are going there next week!!! going to disney leg - really??? i live right there..... here is my club biz card, email me and i will give you some tips on the area cop - thanks! leg - hey, do you mind if i take a picture of this scene?? cop - why? leg - i am making a trip to irvine for something called the spring festival of lx's and i am kinda of a big deal on some online forums. i am doing a bit of diary and they might like this cop - sounds good leg - thanks!! cop - no problem.... btw, keep it at 80, not 1 mph over. you are going to see a lot of troopers from here to the boarder. leg - 80 it is!!!!!! the trooper was not kidding!!! i must have seen at least 50 - 75 cops the remaining three hours of my drive from fort stockton to el paso.... speaking of el paso..... had this little number try and bait me into so action..... no offense to the skittle crowd, but this riced out pos was a joke!!!! hahaha then i mde it into new mexico, where immediately the highway was closed off and all lanes of traffic made to go through the first weigh station...... got to the front to find out they were looking into cars for illegals..... man, in florida then just float in.....hahahahaha anyway, before i realized what has been going on, i was in tucson, and then to my brothers house in phx. yes sir, i drove from 7 am est to 2 am est...... 1200 miles in about 19 hours in one shot!!! my azz and back are a bit sore!!! (no eq boys, not that kind of sore....) all in all, a good day and i will see you all come friday!!! i am spending a few days here in phx with my family and then on to irvine!!! oh yeah, i spent alllllllll morning cleaning the car. it was a disaster!!! only damage so far is a tiny bit of rubbing from the bra on the front edge of the bumper......the only spot i did not first apply blue tape to!!! arrrgghhh!!! no biggie, i 95% got it out and all is good!!
Ok Chris, about your last post on LXForums about your trip..... bra, tape, and wax??? ok the tape to hold up your man boobs into the bra? and i assume you waxed your chest first? Sounds like you plan on hanging out more with Ron while you're there?

wow, that is a trip for sure. we stayed in beaumont as well on our trip to tampa. last stop before lousiana. good luck and stay safe man, that drive through texas was the worst of my entire life. i was so bored i felt like crying....luckily i brought my laptop and we just watched movies the entire way through on a 17 in screen. :grin:

Hope my home state treats you well just watch out for the good ol Texas State Troopers, getting across Texas takes freakin forever just as bad as driving across the Florida Panhandle. Have a safe trip weather today in Texas is supposed to be nice and sunny. I assume your going thru Houston and San Antonio lots of memebers there who could feed ya. Stop in Kerrville for gas and piss break because after that there is NOTHING to see, when you pass thru Sonora your in my Deer huntin area and there is a break in the ride at Ft.Stockton before going on to El Paso.
