hell yeah! so far today ive travelled from my bed to the kitchen to the shitter and back to bed!

I wish I could time travel...I would fast forward about 10 years to my military retirement.:magic:

 

So...anyways, on a more relevant note vs. my wishes for time travel...I bought a new laptop tonight. Now its the waiting game.

I really wanted to get a Mac because I heard they were awesome as far as security but I went with a Dell Inspirion because of the options...(Namely the 2.0 megapixel camera and bluetooth technology so I can talk to my wife and son while in the "desert".)

Anybody else working with one of these???

good choice. i had a laptop w/a built in webcam on my last deployment, its great as far as convenience. i didnt have a dell but i have one at home and their nice. make sure you scan your hard drive daily as the internet systems in iraq are crawling w/viruses, spam, trojans, etc. if you dont, you will notice your computer start to bog down after a short period of time.

 

Is there a certain software that you recommend?:stars:

 

man i wish i remembered, sorry. just know that mcafee is junk. the last fob i was on, our team had our own internet so we had an IT guy workin for us. he just hooked us up with his stuff. try starting a thread on here, theres plenty of computer guru's who will be able to hook you up.

 

Well...we have our own IT guys that roll with our squadron so I'm not too worried. I was just wondering if you remembered what you used. Sometimes that beats the krap out of military intelligence.:suspect:
