I finally caught a break! I went to irwindale tonight (drag strip), i left my house with 27 bucks in my wallet, 20 bucks to race, so i was left with 7 bucks. Once i left the track my gas light came on, i went to the local chevron, i told the clerk 7 bucks on pump 2, the clerk REPEATED IT " 7 bucks on 2 right" i replyed "yes sir" i had my credit card, but i didnt wanna put more than that since i got a short drive to work tomorrow and im a get my tips. So im there at the pump waiting for it to get to seven bucks, it get to $6.50 and the machine doesn't slow down! usually it slows down by this time...it passes 7 bucks then 8 then 9 im going :surprise: so i said at 15 im a split! but gas being 3.71! i said just a lil more...then a lil more....and a lil more...it was finally at 35 bucks...so i thought to my self wat if the clerk runs out and says hey! i mest up etc...i keep a eye out on the clerk threw the window, so i made up my mind i said at fifty im out! i was so scared the clerk was going to come out i couldn't even put the gas cap back on, i was shacking like crazy! believe me, I won't be back at that chevron! lol :tooth: i figured the guy put 70 bucks! so i could of gone back and get change!
Hey... Ya know what... It's desprate times right now. So, (being in the position you were in and going back in to pay up.... and not even getting a "Thanks for saving my job" from the douche that was working the counter). ... I say... Way to go! You got a break! :dunno2: Now, being in (somewhat) the same position the owner of the gas-station was in... It will suck for him to front that bill to the oil company. You know, you didn't jip "BIG OIL", right? You got your local gas station owner right in the wallet. And that sucks, for sure.... But, on the other hand, Karma is a BITCH. :bigwink: It does come back to haunt you, trust me. I've been there! It's a nice break! ...... Just be prepared. :blush:
nicem yea karmas a bitch maybe the gas station owner had some bad karma and thats why you got your free gas. dont let peoples opions get to you when I got a check from insurance and got a motor with it people where so mad.
at one little town in northern ca. gas is at 5.30 a gallon!!!!! 545 for 91. I think I am going to be getting a lockable gas cap soon!!!
That is ALWAYS a good idea.... I had diesel siphoned from my F250 in Orlando last year. :furious::furious::furious:
I used to manage Convenience Stores. The Police used to hang out at my store all the time. One of my cop friends would come by daily to pick me and my gas drive-off forms up daily. As long as I had a good license plate number, he was able to run them and get an address. We would then go to the registered owners house to collect, or take them to jail. Needless to say, my gaas drive-off reports were next to nothing by the end of the month. Few went to jail, most paid.

yes i do understand karma is a bitch....but being a food server and people do dine n dash...dont tell me you guys never done that! lol then i get stuck with the bill! :crying:
sorry NO not me and if you work for a place that sticks YOU with the bill for someone ditching out on paying you need to find a new line of work, not only is that unethical but I'm sure somewhat illegal. I remember that news article of that waitress who got killed over chasing someone out to the parking lot for ditching, not worth it
well my dad being a restaurant owner...he would make us pay up! lol it was all good, once it was a slow month this guy ate and left with out paying, well my dad chased him a good 8 blocks down. till some security got in the way, he thought it was a cop so he stopped and my pops took his ID away. LOL he later said if the guy would of turned around, he would of run back! lol
Ok so you know how much it sucks to have it done to you, yet you do it to someone else and brag about it. The proffit for the station owner is not in the gas but in the consessions. What they loose in gas has to be made up some how. In VA they take your DL if they catch you doing this shit.
lol thats awsome.......ive kinda had that happen..... i put 12 dollars down got the gas running started washin the windows and when i was done i spent 36.14.........oops.....
To have it happen by accident and not notice until it is to late it is one thing, but to do it on purpose and then brag about it is another.....but hey, I was young and stupid once also... Hope you are not planning on buying or selling anything on this forum on your word.
