This may be disturbing to some. I know it pissed me the F*ck off !!!!! I won't say what I would wish on these low lifes. http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=467263
Now THAT is FUCKING BULLSHIT!!! I love our Military, but there are ALWAYS a few ASSHATS that make a bad impression for our hero's. Hopefully these ASSFUCKS' comanders see the video's and get a courtmartial that lands them prison time and a Dishonorable Discharge.
All I can say is that, until you have been where they have been, seen what they have seen, and experienced war the way they have... Don't be too quick to judge. I know that what they are doing is wrong, any way you look at it. But compared to what they are seeing and going through everyday, it probably seems trivial to them. And they probably figure that the animals belong to the terrorists, and this is a kind of revenge... Again, I am in no way condoning what they have done. Just trying to put some perspective on it.... War is shitty!!
If that's the case, then they should get a med. eval and ship the f*ck out. I know it is damn near impossible to endure what these soldiers have for so long. Everything almost becomes surreal, but to take revenge on what they think MAY be a terrosist' dog. Nah, those idiots should be judged swiftly. Just my 2 cents.
This is the kind of BS we do not need in the Military. There are thousands of troops who have been through the "shit" and do not behave like that. It is one thing to take the life of an enemy combatant and it is a sad truth that in war there is unintentional collateral damage and loss of inocent life. But intentional cruelty even though they are "only animals" is unaccecptable. I hope these bastards get what they deserve even though it is less than I would have done to them.
Judging others is what regulates abhorent behavior. So not judging someone is a BS call. Wrong is wrong, regardless of the venue. OK, so let's say worst case scenario: so it was a terrorists dog... oppss... I mean PUPPY. It was a terrorists puppy. So, instead of being humane and adopting the defenseless little critter, or giving it to some kid on the street, toss it over a cliff? An adult dog from the sand box just arrived in San Diego the other day... adopted by some Marines while they were over there. I'm a criminologist by education and a law enforcement officer by trade. One glaring thing here about these two shitheads is this: when people mistreat animals, they're likely sociopaths and therefore not only a danger to animals, but more importantly, to humans... and not necessarily to just the muslims either. A war zone no doubt changes folks and shit's nasty beyond imagination. But doing what they did is a character flaw... hence my statement about sociopaths. Now, if the dog attacked them, different story. But, it was a pup. So that rationale is out the window. We all know one of our country's heroes, he's on here and is a real life badass (Rick) and has likely seen as much, if not more shit, than nearly anyother ... and you should see him with his dog and mine. People can choose to be evil, animals... they're animals. It did no wrong. They enjoyed doing what they did, simply for the fact they did it. Now if they did that to a terrorist, I'd be applauding them. When a fellow law enforcement officer fucks up, I feel the same way. In the military and in my field, its alot to do with honor. Bringing honor onto yourself, your coworkers/agency/military division and country... and doing something that sheds a negative light onto those whom you're supposed to honor is seen as one of the worst things you can do. Literally a smack in the face to those who do bring honor and glory to otherwise thankless positions.
I'm just saying... War changes people. And I did say it was wrong.... (I knew I was gonna get blasted, and that's ok, it makes for a better discussion)
Funny part is, when I first met you guys, and Rick let me take his car for a spin, I had NO IDEA who he was or what he did. If he can keep it on the down low, then these fucktards in Iraq could definitely find a better outlet. Momo, are you currently a cop?? See...I had no idea....
I wouldn't call it blasting bro. Atleast i'm not. I am sure Momo isn't either. Just stating our case. I know that these soldiers are going thru a lot of mental anguish, but you have to realize that they signed up knowing they would be going thru it, and we praise them for knowingly doing so. There are other avenues they can take to relieve the stress they are enduring. They just need to follow UCMJ guidelines. They are fighting a war to protect our freedom as well as our values. One of those being preservation of "life", not just human life, but life in general.
Agreed! So, blasting was too strong a word.... I expected some differing opinions.... How's that?? The thing that I am thinking is that everyone responds to "pressure" and extreme situations differently. These knuckleheads obviously need to find a different outlet, but they also apparently need some help!
Thats a given,....But I was curious where his paycheck comes from.. Funny how the EQ always takes over any thread....
Agreed, that's why I think the only solution is for them to be hospitalized and treated. We need to take care of our soldiers, not abandon them.
Jason could probably tell you, but then he would have to eliminate you to ensure his secret remains just that,....... a secret.
Thank you! You know, after reading this post I realized that that was kind of what I was trying to say anyway.... We do not do enough for our Veterans.
That link didn't work for me. But from the sound of the discussion.......I'm glad I didn't. I can't stand seeing animals intentionally hurt. Chase
im guessing it was the video of a couple troops throwing a dog (small maybe a puppy) off a cliff. im sorry if i sound like an asshole (which i tend to be sometimes) but this isnt shit in the broad spectrum of whats going on over there. i know people who have been there, done their tour (which was extended) and have returned home a totally diff person. these guys throwing a dog off a cliff isnt shit, they arent video taping themselves raping iraqi women like they did in vietnam or shooting up women working rice fields, etc. this was a couple morons relieving some stress. getting all crazy about something so insignificant is a waste of emotion. do some research on how many animals are "euthanized" every day in this country. check out what they do with cats and dogs that are born from idiot owners who dont spay or neuter their animals and im an animal lover. would i ever do what these guys did? nope, but i sure as hell wont get all crazy over it, not when i dont deal with what these guys see everyday.
Get off your high horse.....What these idiots did was sick and wrong. They deserve anything they get. And I don't buy that bull about the "shit they see over there" I remember floating off the coast of indonesia a couple years ago...you know, right after the tsunami. There were dead, bloated bodies everywhere. I saw people picking them up and putting them in boats. I remember our helicopters flying in over what was left and seeing thousands more dead bodies. We handed out food and water to countless more starving and diseased people. And yet, I never had the urge to torture small animals. There is a big fucking difference between euthenasia and tossing a dog off a fucking cliff. And who knows wether it was dead instantly, or if it sat there and suffered....at least the needle is a for sure thing.
