what is your problem (i work at a place that produces the technology for all the gaming systems) haha

 

well - it plays dvds - 80% of the time, but it's having issues playing my games. I have Halo - and I thought maybe because it's a couple of years old and have seen better days - I thought maybe it was the game itself - but I have halo2 (brand new) and it won't play that one either - just keeps coming up with "does not recogonize check to see if it's a dvd or xbox game" blah blah blah. It worked fine about 8 months ago, but then it's been packed up since then and now it's just frustrating the shit out of me!!!

 

Sounds like the laser may be durty...

 

so being a game system idiot rop: - how do you clean the laser?

 

thats a good place to start

compressed air is a good start...open the tray and spray short bursts of compressed air (available at walmart haha)

 

They make CD's that do it for you.... Check Wal-Mart. Prolly cost ya a few bucks, but if it works, money well spent.

This is of course assuming that the games themselves aren't scratched. Which I am guessing they aren't since you said that Halo2 is new....

 

there has been an issue with the laser readers failing on the X Box...you might even want to call and tell them your problem...

they replaced my friends after like 3 years of him having it

Thank you for the help! I've been going through withdrawals from my Halo!! I'll start with the compressed air that I steal from work and pick up a cd from Wal-Mart. If it doesn't work - I'll be beggin' for help again! :rofl2: :rofl2:

 

I think you can buy them pretty cheap off of eBay too. I know they were available for the PS2.

Simple install too.

Have Madden football - but there's just to many buttons to press just to pass :ninja:
Haven't tried Tiger Woods golf - but I have Outlaw Golf - that's pretty fun (the characters are hilarious!)

Also have the Lord of the rings series of games, but haven't even began that series - could never steer away from Halo!

i hated halo 2 cuase i beat it in like 3 days it was way to oshort i thought

i dont have any systems (dispite the fact that i work where we make the processers that power them all haha)...
