powder coating intake manifold bright red advantages/disadvantages??

    I am planning on powder coating my intake manifold red it will look sick since I have the red and black theme going on, but is their any disadvantages??? Will the powder coating trap the heat or am I ok? Thanks for your help

    Powder coating add no additional heat, well actually it does but it's very small... nothing to worry about it.

    what if you put some kind of heat resistant coating under the powdercoat?

    See if you can get thermal barrier coating on the inside of the manifold and red powder coat on the exterior. Then you won't have to worry about the heat issue.
