I've had the rear wheel well liners on the truck for approx. 1000 miles now. Given, most of that has been careful winter driving with 0.0 racing.

Many had problems with the tires rubbing at certain points on the liner walls. I seem to have solved 99% of that during my installation.
The trick is to install the liners and tighten their mounting bolts, then back them off 1 full turn.
Put the wheel all the way on, and insert a shim of some type (2x4 worked well in my case) between the tire and the liner.
Now tighten the liner mounting bolts, then remove the shim/2x4.

To prove my theory, I offer pics:

I know EXACTLY what is causing the 2 rub marks you see on the Pass. side liner: the roundabout they recently installed here.
It's got a wicked little set of turns going in and out of the roundabout (pisspoor planning). In my travels through the roundabout, I make a couple of wicked left turns in each direction.
That's where the rubbing is coming from.

I could do a little cutting and clear that area, but the rubbing was incredibly minor.....which is impressive considering how hard those left turns are.

Hey K, if the truck is lowered 2x4...do you think these would still work ?

Yes, but trimming would probably be required around the bottom edge.

The bottoms don't really come close on my setup, but I'm OEM height all the way around.
4" is A LOT though.

The plastic would be easy to trim with a Dremel.

yes i have installed the wheel well liners on my truck also. i have not put the wheels back on so the truck is still on jack stands. i will use your 2x4 trick when i put the wheels on. do you hear the rubbing? these liners were very easy to install.

Nah...didn't hear those little touches of rubbing at all. The hard lefts that I do require me to be listening to other things.

From the amount and depth of the rubbing, I'd say it was only touching for a couple of revolutions, on 1 or 2 occasions.
The burnt plastic I removed was tracing paper thin.

I'll be doing a DIY article for the wheel well liners soon.
