trucks is getting new meats. im going with the factory pirellis. then i will be cleaning up the wheels. OOO she will look so good.
What made you stick with the Pirelli's? I will never buy those again! I think my next set will be the Kumho's....
i wanted the most grip and pirellis had the best traction at the time of my purchase. then they sat in my garage for a while so i am now getting around to having them installed. bought them about 8 months ago when they were 160.00 a tire now i they are 200.00+.
That's cool, I would have used them too, if they were just sitting around. I hate the flat spotting, the darting, and the (zero) wet weather traction! :stars::stars:
If I was only racing road courses, on 75F and sunny days, I'd *INSIST* on the Pirellis. For daily driving, the Hankooks have served me well, wet and dry. I've heard good things about the Kumhos and Toyos too. I think it also depends a lot on WHERE you live. Roads in FL are different than roads in AZ. Jake has to maneuver around golf carts on concrete highways; Patrick has to try to keep up with Lambo's doing 211 on the paved freeway late at night. :grin: The humidity in FL is about 400x that of AZ too....making the FL roads 'wetter'. Another factor is what type of driving you do. If you're JoeMags and do 1.4 miles every 4 months, you probably don't need an uber-tire. LOL Those that do 1000 miles a month need something with a bit more tread, which in turn lowers handling and grip characteristics. TIP: Check the treadwear rating for the tire you're looking at: 320 = good racing tire, but will wear fast during daily driving. 420 = good daily driver tire, but not a lot of grip at the track or strip.
