So, I'm coming back from my nephews birthday party, heading back to work. I'm on rte 95 in Essex (MA) which is kind of a desolate 2 lane highway. Driving about 60 mph minding my business. I'm in the right lane, and I start to come up on a car going slower, so I put on my blinker to switch to the left lane. I slowly start to pass the car, and before I completely pass him, I glance in my rearview.
Too my surprise I see a Porsche probably 2 feet from my rear bumper!!
At first I think, shit.. probably just a boxer. So I speed up slightly to about 70, move back to the right lane, and check my drivers side mirror. I see this young guy with shades on, in a 911 with the top down? (it was about 43 degrees out) So, I roll down my window, kill the radio, and wait to see if he's gonna try to overtake me.
I hear his ride start to accelerate, as soon as he is about to pass me, I stomp on the gas, and at this point I could see his back end. It was a Carrera 4. I get right behind him, and at this point I had the throttle nailed to the floor. He couldnt pull away. 90....100.... We come up on a car in the right lane at about 120 mph. After we pass him, he switches into the right lane, and to my surprise I start pulling next to him at 135 ish. By the time I pass I was at 145, and he was giving me the thumbs up as I passed.
So then I start to slow, and he does too. I put my window down, he pulls up next to me. A big smile, thumbs up again, and he let out a YEAHHHH!!!! I was pretty surprised. Dont know if I was really pulling on him or if he was letting off the gas. Either way, it was the most action I've seen with the Jeep in a LONG time.

Absolutely. As we were slowing down, we pass by a car getting onto the highway, and it was an Audi S8! I was hoping he would try to catch up also, but no dice.

Have you decided to go to a bigger cam, or just keep the 268 and add the spray?

Interesting you say that. I was thinking about going with a really mild cam (PPPs Road Warrior) and then it progressed to thinking about Stu's SRT MAX and now I think I might as well go with the SRTMax Hell cam. I finding it difficult (actually the wife is) to say bye bye warranty with 2 years left lol but I know I can't control it anymore.

Do it Milan. I was nervous about the driveablity of a rougher cam. I pussed out even when Matt at Dynamic Racing told me I should go with the 273. I regret not doing it now.
