Steve's kewl and I normally root for the little guy, aka "Smurf" his track nickname, when hes racing. But I'm most loyal to whoever my buddy is working for This year it appears to be a few races with Steve again. I'm also a Wilson Manifold's fan so that means I gotta support Anderson and Line, the Summit guys.
I was there I was there on Sunday for the finals. Our "Special Section" was so friggin close that I got black marks all over my white GS Motorsports tee shirt from the top fuel burnouts!!!!!!!!
LOL!! Sweet! Have you ever seen the big dogs at night? At a couple of venues - including Indy, they run a qual session for nitro after dark. Flames shooting 15 feet out of a top fuel dragster the entire length of the 1/4 mile, in just over 4 seconds, while pounding the phlegm from your chest, is one of the most awesome experiences in the entire racing world.
My bones are still shaking from the side by side 4.58's the Top Fuelers run in PHX a couple years back, I still have the VIP ticket on the fridge. There are a lot of other fast or cool autosports but a day at the track with NHRA top fuel is a full body experience!
