alright i have no clue what the hell is wrong with my car. It runs ok boost is fine. I drove it in a snow storm, I got stuck in it. Idk if its just dirty water that has wound in in the FMIC or if i screwed sometin up. It has funky smell in the front and back around the turbo like something is burning. Also on the WG the it looks like you were to of held a torch to it. The color is all faded and ashy looken. its right on the bend were it goes underneath the heat sheald. I am completly stock. Any ideas would or answers would help. Thanks

hum.....sounds like you're not getting enough water or oil into the turbo assembly. did a cooling line pop off? what coolant are you using? check all your fittings too.......

the turbo uses the car's coolant, it's a water and oil cooled turbo. bruning plastic smell huh.....can you see anything that looks like it's melting? sorry for being so obvious, but it's best to start with the easy solutions first then go from there.

check in the engine bay for anything that's plastic. the vents at the top, sensors, coolant lines leaking onto plastic pieces, whatever you can find and see if there's evidence of melting.

Jeff I really like what u have done to ur car. is that vinyle or paint on the hood? I might have to do the opposite, My car is black and go with red.

My engine coolent is fine. No leaks or anything, level is fine. I dont see anything melted. I think it has something to do with the amount of the water that got into the car. It had what looked like a beard of snow on it. It was fine the next day I drove it to town and it just smelled like something hot or was burning. I know how Chrystler is with electrical issues. could that be it?

The stripes are vinyl. Thanks for the compliments:beer:

And yes, there probably are electrical issues. I had a ground wire corrode away on me, so it caused a smaller ground to get overloaded and melt. It smelled like plastic burning....

Got stuck? You didn't completely wedge the front end into a snow bank did you? Like where no air could get to the radiator and/or under the car?

Some people get mad if you set your car up like theirs. I just want the hood stripe not top and down the rear. You think just the hood would look good?

It's sounding like something got on something hot and melted, and gradually burned off. Might be worth looking around to find it in case it's something important or something that should be taken care of. Last summer I couldn't avoid a large white plastic garbage bag that was blowing across the road. Naturally it plastered itself to the muffler. I could smell it when I stopped. It looked like I had the muffler plastic coated. Drove it like that for a day or two and the plastic became sort of harder to where I could peel it right off.

I wouldn't be mad if you put stripes on your car...cause I'm sure I'm not the first one to do it either.

Now, I'm sure the red on black would look pretty good, but I'm not sure about it just being on the hood...I guess I would have to see it to determine. But, what it comes down to is how YOU think it would look.

Sure. If you slip the hell out of a clutch all the time you can burn it up in a very short amount of time.

Do they even make mechanical clutch linkages any more? The hydraulic ones are self adjusting but with the mechnanical ones you could tell just what your clutch condition was by the pedal level on engage/disengage. With this new fangled crap you have no idea what's going on:towel:
