Ok, here's my review of the P3000... This was a great cigar! It had more twists that a Twizzler! It started really smooth with slightly tight draw, but nothing too bad. Nice earthy tones, with an almost chocolate undertone. As it got close to the ash in the first pic, it got very mellow. Then, it defied my expectations when it didn't get hot after the ash dropped, it actually got this nice slightly minty quality to it. Not really flavor, but more of a mint "feeling" on the tongue. Then as it got closer to the end, it started to go mellow again. It didn't get hot until right at the end.... A very nice smoke! A nice long ash... But it did burn a little uneven: These pics were taken at the same time, just turned it over.
I smoked an awesome and purdee damn powerful cigar today..... The CAO Criollo- Conquistador...... Check it out at CAO.com But do NOT inhale, ya macho schmuck..... Djangar
This is for you Stefan ! Shipped this morning Stefan! :deshade: I actually have 4 more black dragons for you I forgot them in my locker at the cigar shop I thought i had them at the house. They will go in your next package!
I just checked out famous-smoke that was in Jake's pic of the Shaggy's AWESOME prices, shit HALF of what I am paying here in NJ! :tropicalwind: I will be ordering all my smokes from there! :dribble
The Camacho Triple Maduro Torpedo (6x52): I picked up one of these at the local cigar shop about 3 months ago. I was intrigued at the idea of a ALL MADURO cigar (Wrapper, Binder, and Filler). I decided on a Torpedo, because they are (generally) easy to cut and easy to draw. I bought my new find for about $9.00 (if I remember correctly)... it's been sitting in my humidor at 60% RH ever since. As I was looking over my stash, to review a cigar tonight, I came across this little gem again. It does stand out against the rest (most of which I can't speak-of on here :bigwink because this cigar is BLACK AS NIGHT.... The Camacho T.M. isn't as "leathery" and shiny as the CAO MX2, but it does have the same depth of color. :thumb3: It was a no-brainer, as soon as I again laid eyes on this fine looking cigar. Too be honest, I wasn't expecting much.... I have been on the previous thread for some time now, and I've never heard anyone mention a Camacho. So, I went in to this thing thinking I was going to be let down.... (And, subsequently have a decidedly SHORT review to write)... BOY, was I wrong. As with any well aged cigar, it was light as a feather. But, it wasn't so dry the wrapper would be brittle. The cutter sliced through the tip like butter, no unraveling here... The torch lighter Tim (Django) gave me made quick work of getting a good burn going. ..... The first thing you will notice is the SMOKE... oodles and oodles of glorious rich smoke. This cigar smokes more than Jenna Jamison following a "train ride". :rock:The second thing you will notice is the DRAW. The draw on this cigar is truly unbelievable. I've smoked a lot of expensive cigars in my day, but this cigar has the best draw I've ever experienced. .... As you are enjoying the great draw, you will see why it's so good. The craftsmanship is absolutely superb. Smoke POURS out of the tip as it just sits there. It reminds me of one of those fancy, dry-ice drinks you get in Hawaii. :thumb3: Picture perfect (although, the picture isn't perfect :blush The flavor is decidedly Maduro. That would be because that is ALL this cigar is made of.... DUH! ... But, I'm not so sure if it's "better" than the CAO MX2. The CAO has a real smooth, caramel flavor. This cigar is ALL MADURO, ALL THE TIME.... Rich, Full-bodied, and buzz-worthy. I like it... But, you definitely have to like a ROBUST, Full-Bodied cigar to like this one. ..... I'll tell you something strange.... It made my (obligatory) Maker's Mark Bourbon taste totally different! It was a fantastic combo! As the Camacho T.M. burned down, it did get off track a few times. The burn wasn't always perfect.... but the draw WAS, and the burn would correct itself every time. I smoked until there wasn't any left to smoke... and my Bourbon was gone no.... But, now I have a refill  :deshade: And I'm telling you to go out a try one of these great cigars! :thumb3: I'm going to give the Camacho Triple Maduro a 95/100.... And that's just as good as most of my "other" cigars that can't be named. This cigar was a real sock-knocker, for sure! :headspin:
i notice a few of you posting on using lighters and torches. i read somewhere that they shouldnt be used for lighting quality cigars because of the gas or fumes permeating through the fine cigar. i think it said only to use wooden matches or something like that. im not an aficionado like many of you, i just smoke the really nice ones when i can get them. for xmas this year, my co-worker brought me back 3 cohibas from cuba...the real cohibas, not that dominican republic stuff. i smoked the last one about a month ago.
You have to use the right Butane.... I use Nibo Butane. It's odorless. And even if there was, torches burn so hot, there wouldn't be any fumes anyway. :thumb3: You DO NOT want to use (sulfur) matches or a ZIPPO. :boxed:
I have smoked a couple of them. That a friend sent to me.:friends:And i agree whit you my friend...A great cigar....It is one of the strongest i ever have the privilege to smoke...And the draw was excellent....But what can you expect it is a true triple maduro....:thumb: Don't remember the size of the ones i smoked....But i was a smaller one and a Big F**ker It can have been a double robusto...Maybe Dennis can tell what size it was.... Thanks Dennis......:rock::rock::tip:
