A little background... I work in a radio station. It's not a bank or insurance agency (not that there's anything wrong with those places). Yet, sometimes many who work here forget that. When I moved to West Palm, there was a major morale issue here. One of the things that I've done in the past to lessen some of that is to be silly and do fun stuff. One of the things that I've implemented here is Beer Fairy. Beer Fairy is pretty simple. It's like the Tooth Fairy...only instead of taking your teeth, it hands you beer. On Friday's at 5pm, if you're a poor sucker still working (which is most of us, to be honest), the Beer Fairy shows up to help. The reaction has been quite good. Most are startled, and some look on in disbelief. "Can we even HAVE beer here?" was what I was often greeted with. "Who cares...this is a radio station" is usually how I'd respond. Meanwhile, a select few took the morale booster to heart, and my airstaff and sales staff chipped in to buy me a new vehicle in which to distribute. Ladies and Gents...behold: It has a fully electric motor, capable of 13 mph. Quite frankly, this little sucka hauls! And, it holds a case of beer plus ice. There's even a mini door/cupholder that allows you to access the cooler without getting up. Ingenious. Yet another reason why I'll never have a normal job. :drugs:
Cool! (bad pun intended) I saw someone with one of those on a recent episode of Pinks "out takes." Guy was riding it around the facility.
That is cool! I love my job - I spend other people's money and every Friday at 4pm we have happy hour! They used to supply the wine, but not being into wine to much, I just decided to bring my own (Captain!).

those are awesome :thumb3: theres a guy who rides one in the pit area when were out at Sandia for open sessions LMFAO theres no beer in it but he keeps water in it.
I saw one of those at a dealership I was working at a couple of weeks ago. Was going to tell Ron about it, so we might get one for the C to haul around in his trailer to events. Even has a full size cooler trailer. LOL http://www.coolerscooterdirect.com/
Only job I've ever been fired from: DJ for KBCR. I used to do the 10:30P weather report as "Cecil Felixson", a character my little brother came up with. Cecil has a HUGE lisp, and enjoys the sight of male bodies (preferably watered down or oiled up). I'd been doing the Cecil bit for about 4 months, until the PD heard it one night. He called me into his office the next morning, and I'll never forget his words: "The homosexual members of our community would be offended by what you said on the air last night." My reply: "I'm sorry you were offended." Picked up my check off his desk and walked out.
