Well, since I have installed my p&p heads and intake, headers and removed the cats, I been been throwing DTC P0174 and the right bank is running extremely rich because of it. I have checked all vacume lines all are well. Right side O2 sensor has been replaced, still no fix. Right side header was leaking, tightened bolts, no luck. So replaced gasket, no more leak, but I am still throwing this code! It is driving me crazy. I am really not sure what to do next. Any info will be appreciated.lease::help:
Did you check the part # on the sensor to make sure it is in fact a "front sensor" and you didnt mix them up? Did you check the o2 sensor wire extension to make sure it is working or connected correctly?
On the 07's and up all four sensors are the same, p/n 56029049AA. I will have to check the wiring though. Someone on the "other" site said it might be the off-road pipes. Any thoughts on that?
Haven't varified the a/f but did it the old school way and pulled the plugs. Very carbon fouled on the right bank and normal on the left. I will definitley try to get an a/f reading from the right bank. :thanks:
I went out today and mointored my O2 sensor volts mind you this is at idle: B1S1(Left-upstream) was changing from 35-900 MLV B2S1(Right-upstream) was pretty much staying between 900-940 MLV with a few drops to 800. Shouldn't they both be changing like the left one between rich/lean? After reading about O2 sensors, I see that low numbers are lean and high are rich, so why would I be getting a lean code when the sensor is stuck on rich? Any help will be appreciated. I am almost willing to give up and put this thing back to stock!
Have you checked the wiring all the way back to where it connects on the B1S1 that is fluctuating, I've seen 02 sensors go to crap once they come out of the stock bung, even a little piece of dust/dirt can screw them up, I've also seen some once the wiring is checked it was crimped, burned or cut. Might just replace the one and see if that helps, as far as driving it your rolling the dice since its the front sensors there is no telling w/o a wideband a/f what is going on. Dont give up or go back to stock I think if we all think about this we can sort it out
your o2 sensors are pluged in to the wrong wires. we had this on another jeep. you need to change them and then change the plugs cause they foul super fast. the truck that came to us was that way. you will probably also need to change the o2 sensors cause they will be shot also. call the shop tomorrow after 10 am est if you have any questions
Greg, this is the way they are plugged in on the right side, one closest to the front of vehicle I have the right upstream, the one next to that is going to the right rear, and the last to the left rear. Is this right? And yes the plugs do foul very quickly.
if i remember correctly the only ones you can get mixed up is the right front and left rear. swapping these will make the right side front o2 sensor wire use the reading from the rear left sensor, seeing it as leanor then the front and dump gas to the right side bank. that is if i remember correctly....lol
Thanks Greg you are the man!! I did not even think of that. I figured it just couldn't be something so simple! I guess that's what happens when I start figuring.:tooth: LOL. Thanks again buddy. :ilovesrtc:
