P.S. I have higher resolution pics. I had to cut these by 80% to get them on here.

Hahahhaa! Yep Dave, that's you in the maroon viper w/all the cones knocked down behind you (look at the smile on your face in the close up shot, no doubt that's you, lol!). And that's me in the blue viper. If Mike had used a wide angle lens you would have seen A LOT more cones knocked down behind me as well, lol!! Thanks for the post mike!!!

Yep. Actually what kinda sucked was when we did the "shootout" in the Vipers the ground was starting to dry out but not totally and it made for a wild ride with the car sticking to the track and then immediately NOT sticking to the track going in and out of the water. Not fun. Would have prefered to have had it all wet or all dry. Still fun to drive a Viper though!

That would be me in the maroon viper. That was my second or third run I think. That instructor was giving constant advice to help you. "I want you to bring it up to 3000 when he stages then let the clutch out gradually and keep giving it gas just short of spinning the tires and when I tell you just get off the gas, no brake until we get around that first corner then...". So I didn't get off it quite in time and it just pushed through the first corner cones so instead of tapping the brakes I figured I'd throttle steer and blipped the gas. That brought the back end all the way around (and the front tires still didn't have a grip yet) so I lifted then gassed it again. I mean, who wants to hit the brakes when you get a chance to drive a viper? He's going "let off the gas just a little, steer to the left, oops we missed that corner, uh we're not on the course ...". I'm going "I got it, I got it, we're ok, the cones don't count right? I think we're in good shape here." About that time he gave up and just started laughing. I think that may have been about the time of the second pic. Or else that was when we finally got stopped in the box and I was looking over to see that, sure enough, we won! hahaha. Talk about putting a grin on your face.

Yea Stevo, that's me in the blue one and Quick in the maroon one. Those pics might have been from our one and only race against one another... sadly, the one he won (talking about it still makes me :fever:). I was 2-0 at that point and he was 0-2. From there it was all downhill for me, thanks Dave, hahahahaa! :tomato:

    Hey all,

    Friday's event was a blast.

Although I didn't mind the rain and cold, there were definitely some people freezing their ass off outside in the rain.

The best experiences of the day was trying to keep the viper in check through rain/puddles. Also, getting the chance to beat up on a viper that wasn't yours was just incredible. Those things were way over the top and stuck much better in the rain than I thought they would.

The surprise of the day was the SRT-4. This little car is no joke, the hot lap instructors were launching side-by-side with the SRT-8's and keeping up.

All in all, a great time. The lead instructor said that Challengers may start appearing in the June/July time frame for the SRT Track Experience...

It was great to meet everyone, although I didn't get to match names w/ those here on the board. Go team "Shake n Bake"!

    -Ray

Canon Rebal XTi it's a 10.2 megs pixal. It's rated as the best bang for the buck. Canon also recently came out with a 21 meg camera. Body alone is probably 5k

What lens did you use? Those are extraordinary. You were what? 50 to 100 yards. Must have been a fast shutter for no blur with the movement, the background (at infinity) is rock solid sharp and if you zoom in on the pic you can read the (raised, clear) DOT NUMBERS on the headlight lens! Holy crap!

Didn't you notice that monsterous camera he was carrying around, lol?? It was quite impressive. I got a look at it while we were waiting for the hot laps, it's a nice piece. I'm not surprised the pics look like that. Post more up if you can Mike, thanks!!
