With all these sick Heads and Cam packages that the Venders are coming out with. Anyone think with a nice shot and tune we could hit 10s in our rigs? I think it could be done. Oh yeah with full exhaust and intake.

Give it a go and please report back your findings. I personally think you dreaming if think you can hit 10's with heads, cam and NOS. Please prove me wrong...

Derwood's probably right. It'll take smaller tires (better gear ratio) remove the interior for weight purposes, higher stall converter.....

That probably still won't do it. But I too would love to see it. Good luck to all how pursue the goal!

Well Cobrakid pulled a 11.6 with only a 150 shot and tune. I think with a really good heads/cam, Full exhuast, intake and tune it could be done. I'd hope that with the exhaust and intake that could cut that .6 off. I'd I can keep my mod money from going towards my other rig. I will be more then willing to try this out.

Aggressive cam and that much N2O will be creating some serious cylinder pressure that the top ring land of our pistons will probably not handle very long.

I ran a 12.34 on a 125 shot and CAI, I see no reason why a 10.9 isnt possible with Heads,Cams and every bolt on sold. I also feel that a stock block on proper tune can take over 200 shot with a progressive controller.

You and I think a like. I agree on the 200 shot also. I wouldnt under estmate these Hemi. More so now that we can tune them much better with SCT. I can only see one problem and I guess it would be traction. I need to get rich and be the 1st to try this out. Damn I wish Alaska had a lottery sys. lol

It will never happen. I have almost every bolt on available. I'll be getting my nitrous kit this week. 125 shot, I will see MAYBE a 11.59 at the track. F/I will be needed to hit 10's.

How do you figure that when Cobrakid is running 11.49 on a bone stock jeep with a 175 shot? I think if he had heads/cam he would be knocking on the door of a 10.99

It takes alot more horsepower to get into the 10's, when your running 11's. Someone else will chime in to back me up. I dont know all the mathmatics behind it. :thumb2:

The headland or top ringland, whatever you call it, is only .10 thick, and it is cast aluminum. If it was .25 thick and forged, you could turn up the bottle.
An 11.49 in the Northeast is quick but would probably be a 11.89 to 11.99 say in Phoenix. 175 shot is like a H/C with at 100 to 125 shot.
There are some theories that running a 2 or 3 stage or with something like The Maximizer that heavier shots could be ran at a highter rpm and gears.
IMHO 10's are not going to happen without a stroker or at least a fully forged bottom end that could withstand to increase cylinder pressure. I've never ran more than a 100 shot with just a MSD window switch and 19 degrees of advance w my H/C setup, which is not radical by todays standards. It was a year ago.
I know if I ran say at Atco, even with this mild setup, I would be running 11.40's or 11.50's no problem.
Possible 10's, yes, probable 10's, no. I can't see the pistons holding up to that much cylinder pressure. Just my thoughts. Hope someone can do it, but the price may be to high trying it.

So a stroker though then? 420 CI

I think they are talking about a stock block H/C setup in this thread.

Kudo's on the 11.24. Still no one over 123. That's funny. Bunch at 122 and a few at 123.

You may have been wrong - but that's still the 2nd fastest LX ever! Just barely missed knocking PPP off the top.

I think his point was that even with a stroker, 200HP of nitrous, and all the bells and whistles, even an LX hasn't hit the 10's yet. Let alone a heavier, less aerodynamic, Jeep with stock displacement.

A 10 second SRT-8 will show up soon. Just never know who, when, where, or how until it happens.

In this particular range, it is correct that 100 pounds approximates .100 seconds, yes.
