LOL - nice!!! My point is serious though - a "20HP" shot is a misnomer, because the same amount of nitrous is spraying regardless of RPM. "20HP" fired at 2500 RPM is the same nitrous amount per intake stroke as "40HP" fired at 5000 RPM. So a lot of people follow that rule, and fire at 2500 rpm. They could just as easily use "40HP" per cylinder at 5000 rpm, as the amount per intake stroke is identical.
It's a dam shame the iCharger is going to be around $6k, that's rediculous. Hell, I complained about the KBs for the Cobras being $3500-$3800. Maybe we need to talk to Jim Bell and get a KB for the 6.1s. $6k will keep them out of the hands of the true racer enthusiasts like me that simply can't afford them, with wife, kids, mortgage etc. I bet with 6lbs, and a 75 shot for intercooling, these things would fly! I love the iCharger pics whole idea etc........it just seems like price gouging ? sorry to b*tch & complain, I am just frustrated b/c it is so awesome and I won't have one.

I saw this unit also.... There are a few really big issues ....the 2.2 ltr harob blower(eaton) is a roots based and the efficency is closer to 65% thats actually lower than a centrifical ...oh Eaton dosent make a twin screw blower. There is no disfuser and almost no intake runner so the discharge will be left to find its way through the cooler core with the result being a very un evenair distribution and favoring 6 of the 8 cylinders so you have the same problem of lean cylinders . The guys video was even funnier he is claiming some wild horse power number which is a torque spike from his laughable dyno attempt . The car he has on the dyno keeps down shifting on the dyno and after 3 ...2 second blasts the guy gets out of the car and check the rear tires to see what is wrong..! totally embarrassing video in my opinion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-ypGy6R-hU
Dude it was a joke, just like this, Im not the Goodwill or Salvation Army. You wanna play your gonna pay Chuck, I googled I-Charger and didnt find a thing. I did however get referred to many of the GTO boards and have researched the harrod(sp) blower(I suspect this might be the blower they are using). This thing is bad a$$ and the machine work required for the casing and rotors involves way more than the standard screw type blowers. The design is the entire reason that you will see intake temps lower than standard blowers at same boost levels. There might be more markup than standard blower but only competition will change that.

Thread Purpose This thread was to show the Richwood Group of supercharger for the SRT8 Jeep and LX platforms. I am sure there will be pros and cons for all the upcoming power adders. The consumer will have to decide what his/hers preference will be, what fits their budget, warranty and service offered. Time will tell which of the power adders has superior engineering, aesthetics, function, expandability and designed specifically around the needs and maintainability of the Chrysler vehicle platform. Bringing any new product like this to market cost more than just a few pennies. I highly doubt they will be making much of a return on each unit at first. If you can't afford it, don't get it. I'll be selling my next child to get mine.:tooth:
Last time I checked, every FI option available (or soon to be available) was in the $6000-$7500 price range.... Not sure what you are bitching about pal. If you're concerned about price go get a Honda and strap a snail shell on it...

And to be honest, Nitrous isn't that cost effective. Sure, you can do bare bones for $500. But that's not a fair comparison to something like the I-charger setup. To be comparable, you'd need to spend $2,000 - $3,000. And then it's going to cost you about $7 per quarter mile to run. And, you get little to no opportunity to use it on the street. With a supercharger or turbocharger, it's available with the press of the throttle whenever you see fit. And I say this as a nitrous guy.
I totally agree with you as one Nitrous user to another. My bare bones kit was about $650 and by the time I installed it made it NHRA legal, added bottle warmer, guages, misc fittings, switch panel, etc. I was into it around $3,500. It costs about $50 each time you fill the bottle or bottles! In California it is now illegal on the street!
