I think this is the right spelling. I don't want to open another oil debate but thought i would ask if anybody knows anything about this oil. the only thing i know is that it is fully synthetic, made in germany and is usually oem in benz. i know they make a 5w40 for our srt's. i am always looking for good stuff for my baby. cannot get enough of the oil debate. the debating if for the good of the community. someday we will find the best oil for the srt's. GOOD OIL OR JUST ANOTHER OIL???
im pretty sure i heard one of the guys at the hobby shop mention that before its pretty expencive but long lasting if its the same one.
http://www.techmax.ca/lubri.htm The word lubricant is derived from Latin "Lubricus" which means "to glide". A lubricant is therefore a product that reduces friction and eases operation when in contact with moving parts. When the proper lubricant is lacking the result is the failure of the mechanism. The difference between poor - average and superior quality lubricants are not as easily seen. With average quality lubricant the mechanism will usually perform well and will last for a long time. With poor lubrication the service life will be significantly less than the design life. And with superior lubricant the mechanism will work for a long - long time. Developed and produced in Germany for your car. Ligui Moly products maintain and restore peak performance and safe operation of your car. Lubro Moly was founded in the mid-50's and has played an active role in the development of Germany's driving culture ever since. Recently the company has changed it's name and all of their products name to LIQUI MOLY. Tested On The Racing Circuit, Proven Daily On The Road. Developed with performance in mind, Liqui Moly products incorporate the most advanced materials yet processed or conceived, including the exclusive Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2) anti-friction lubricant. Added to many of Liqui Moly's products, MoS2 anti-friction agent is an oil-insoluble additive that protects metal parts long after oil and grease has broken down. Liqui Moly and MoS2! Try them and you'll never use anything else. We don't. Synthetic Oils Liqui Moly's synthetic motor oils developed for for gasoline and diesel-powered passenger cars including vehicles equipped with a diesel particulate filter in accordance with the Euro 4 emissions standard. The combination of unconventional basic oils using synthetic technology, together with the latest additive technology, guarantees a motor oil that provides exceptional protection against wear and reduces oil and fuel consumption, while ensuring fast oil penetration of the engine. For example we use Liqui Moly Longtime High Tech 5W-30 Synthetic Motor Oil, which is approved by BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen too. Oil Additive CERA TEC is a high-tech ceramic wear protection product for all motor oils. CERA TEC reduces friction and wear due to ceramic compounds that withstand extremely high chemical and thermal loads. Prevents direct metal-to-metal contact, thus increasing the engine service life. The low-friction effect reduces fuel consumption in gasoline and diesel engines. Sufficient for 5 liters of motor oil. Operational area: CERA TEC is added to motor oil and is self-mixing. CERA TEC provides extreme wear protection for all moving parts and friction surfaces in the engine. Fuel Additive Modern fuel additive for improved and smoother acceleration and throttle response in the partial load range. Increased driving pleasure due to higher power utilization. The engine starts easier and runs smoother. Compatible with all gasoline and additive qualities. Noticeably improves acceleration – simply add to gasoline. MoS2 Anti-Friction Super Motor Oil. Ideal for older cars and more conservative drivers-allows longer oil change intervals. MoS2 Anti-Friction Engine Treatment. Covers all frictional surfaces with a thin but extremely strong film, reducing engine wear up to 50%. Your engine will run more efficiently and give a modest horsepower boost. Voll-Synthese Gear Oil. Better viscosity in cold weather-stops sluggish shifting, reduces wear and tear on manual transmissions. Ventil Sauber Valve Cleaner. Controls carbon build-up on valves and assists in cleaning entire fuel systems. Jectron Fuel Injection Cleaner. Cleans system components, improves drivability, starting, idling and mileage. Motor Protect. Reduces friction enhances performance, and provides smooth, quiet performance. Improves economy, too. Anti-Seize Compound. Prevents seizing of spark plugs, lug studs, wheel hubs and exhaust connections. Molybdenium Disulfide Assembly Paste. Prevents damage during initial start-up to camshafts, rocker shafts and arms. A must for cylinder head rebuilds. Motorclean. Dislodges sludge and lacquers to improve compression and reduce exhaust emissions. Great maintenance for chain tensioner systems and valve lifters. Other Liqui Moly Products: Anti-seize compound, CV grease, Diesel hi-test. Diesel purge, MoS2 gear treatment, MoS2 paste, Motor oil saver, Tacky Lube spray. "The Lubro Moly & Liqui Moly line of lubricants, additives, and fuel system products are the finest in the world."
http://techmax.ca/elf.htm ELF's comprehensive and competitive range As part of its ongoing efforts to improve its range, ELF has custom-engineered a synthetic Motor oil for BMW cars: Elf EXCELLIUM XLL. This does more than comply with BMW's LL-01 standard; the XLL in the name stands for Extra Long Life, and points to the fact that this new lubricant can withstand about 40,000 km before it needs to be changed. In other words, you could almost drive around the world before changing your oil! The product's main advantages include its oxidative stability which explains the extra-long oil-change intervals and the pledge that it will keep the engine clean while protecting it against wear. Engine cleanliness and protection from wear also make compatible with BMW's proprietary Valvetronic system. Many those oils are BMW LL 04 approved also some of the oils are Mercedes Bluetech Diesel approved for low ash certification for ultra modern diesels. Many of the new MERCEDES available in Canada equipped with those new diesel engine, for example the ML, the R and the C class.
sounds like a really great oil. In other words, you could almost drive around the world before changing your oil!
