Installed all of my racing wheels tonight to verify fitment. Lowered the rear end an additional 5/8ths inch to help fill the wheelwell. While I was swapping wheels I weighed everything: Stock Wheel/tire: 62.4 pounds Rear racing wheel/tire: 38.6 pounds Front racing wheel/tire/aluminum spacer: 33.6 pounds Does anyone have any ideas on painting the front wheels so they more closely match the rear wheels?
Awesome man. Can't wait to see you pull off some wicked fast runs. There is some event in Ohio (I think) advertised on April 21st-ish..maybe we'll meet up than if the weather is looking good. You have the new halfshafts correct? I can't make it in March.
I don't know about the cost factor but being a steel wheel I bet you could get them jet hot coated in a similar color. Are those the typical voxx 18" rims in the back??
Maybe next saturday, weather permitting. If not, then two weeks from yesterday, weather permitting. April 21? Not aware of that one. I'll be at the Columbus, OH meet in June. I'll look for the April event info.... The rears are 17" spun forged aluminum racing wheels - very light.
Ah man..got it wrong again...April is the former Starved Rock M&G but I don't see anything about racing. Also, I think it's in central Illinois lol..Indoor event called Rockin Spring Meet. Rather race though. June it is!
