So I'm getting a new flash from Dave for the Jeep. I got my predator today. I currently have b&g stage 2 flash. Should I swap in my stock pcm before hooking up the predator? Or will the predator be able to download the b&g?
I would switch back to stock that way you can make comparrisons or hint, hint, sell the B&G stage 2 pcm
I plugged in the predator once I got, still had the b&g pcm in. It said my Jeep needed a calibration update, so I thought I did it correctly on the Diablo website, but when I plugged the Predator back in, it said it still needed the calibration update. I'll try again tommorow with the stock pcm.
Nope...you won't be able to do it. The B&G needs to have the latest DCX calibration before you can update it or store it as a stock tune...from what I remember anyways. Downloading the latest pcm updates to a B&G doesn't work because it's not recognized properly. I believe Dave was charging to do this in the past and I'm not sure if this is still his exact process. Some were lucky enough to have the latest version on their B&G PCM and were able to save it and download the Diablo revisions and use the canned tunes. Mine didn't work so my B&G II is in a closet and am using the spare for the Pred tunes. If I'm wrong, someonw please correct me...but I'm pretty sure.
Yup, so in order to be able to use your B&G, Dave has to update it right? And you're using a spare for the Diablo? Hope it helped...there's a bunch of us in this boat...but, on the bright side...you still have a spare lol.
Correct my brotha from another motha!! We will see if I can figure this download upload crap out. lol.
