Well, I wouldn't say AGP is not a good idea and I don't want to jump into another Big turbo vs everything else.... especially another Big turbo vs S3.

But everyone seems to be playing $$$ as a factor to their decision and of course the cheapest route is AGP. But it all comes down to different factors... bolt-on performance and go vs worrying about everything and having to cover everything. I hear more about 50 trim owners blowing up their stock motors then I hear about S3.

Example, after the cams/cam gears and these goodies we will soon be buying for Cheryl's car... the few that I've talked to think the car will be around/close to 480 to the wheels.

as far as the cheapest route, i dont agree that agp is that. there are alot of cheaper ways to go than agp. stg 3 is great for dependability, pnp, and so forth. however, for the price of it, especially the setup that tony put on cheryls car, you could take the agp kit and compete all day with the stg 3. i dont want to get into a big thing about big turbo vs stg 3 either. it's fucking pointless. when it comes down to it, both cars are fast.

50 trim cars are just as reliable as Stage 3 cars, it all depends on the driver/driving habits........you can take a stage 3 car and beat the piss out of it day in and day out and eventually shit will break, the same can be said for a 50 trim car.....

Possibly. When cams are installed they will be tuned before we get the car back, its part of the install :thumb:

Are your predictions on pump or HOM?

from someone that drove that car BEFORE the port work was done, i think jesus's prediction is pretty close. i would guess 450hp/480 tq.

either way, the car is going to fucking scream

Actually the AGP route is cheap if you compare both kits as far as a turbo upgrade. $1,800 for an AGP kit vs S3 which is in the 3k. Now if you take on fuel mods and so fourth into consideration then I can see it getting pricey. But from the posts I've gathered everyone is concerned of the $$$ to decide their route. Ask Frank how much he spent for his 50 trim setup... its a lot cheaper then S3.

Stirring up the pot by saying the setup on Cheryl's car can compete all day with an AGP kit. But I wouldn't draw up conclusions.

I'm sure you guys would want Cheryl's car to run a 50 trim SRT-4 but it will not happen.

yeah, it is cheaper than stg 3, which as everyone knows is not a pinch a penny turbo kit.

as far as money being the deciding factor, also the AVAILABILITY may play something into it as well. ask the people who have been waiting 10 months for their stg 3 kit how they like it.

so yeah, the agp is cheaper, not the cheapest, route to go besides stg 3. agp kits may not be pnp, but they are dependable. you put a stg 3 in the hands of a person who doesnt know what they are doing, they will fuck something up too.

stock stg 3 kit vs stock 50 trim/3147, agp all day. my opinion, and once again, stock for stock. even getting the return line and bigger injectors, still comes out cheaper than a stock stg 3.
