We had quite the turn out tonight with seven (7) Jeeps showing up to do battle :aggressive:. Everyone ran well......of course my N/A GSM tuned machine ran the best by far clicking off an [email protected] Cars kept breaking down so I got my first run that I botched when I launched in 2nd gear [email protected] and then my 2nd and final run. This N/A run calculates to a 12.5....:shok:
You are too quick, both, at the track and on the forum. haha! Here is my best time... R/T------------.532 60'------------1.781 330-----------5.224 1/8-----------8.132 MPH----------84.29 I'm pleased with my runs tonight. All three were in the 8.1's! It was nice hangin' out with all my SRT8 Jeep buds. What a turnout! And Stevo, next time, next time I tell ya! LOL! Good to see ya.
It was great to hang with you guys. I wish I could have run again but all the break downs ticked me off. HEY......like i told you, bring the old girl down to GSM for a "real" tune and you'll be able to hang with the "big" boys...lol:good:
it was fun tonight! i had a blast... RT...... .673 60'...... 1.862 330..... 5.412 1/8..... 8.374 MPH.... 82.69 Here are some pictures i took with my phone not to sharp but pretty cool...
It was great last nite as the gang showed there muscles. Ill give the temps and da. The other guys beat up on me with there mods as im still pure stock. I guess ill have to hit G.Bush up for another SS pay raise or go stand by a freeway offramp with a sign saying poor and hungry for a preditor tune please help lol. Every 1 improved from there last outtings but poor me but i matched my best ET and bettered my 60 ft. It took the oldman (65 yrs) to show the youngsters how to cut a perfect lite lol. Lyle was close with a .538. I wished we all lived closer so we could get together more. 3rd time out Run 1 Race weight 5190 DA.............1285 FT RT............=.500 a perfect lite yeppie 60FT..........1.804 330............5.382 1/8.............8.402 MPH...........81.47 Run 2 Trans short shifted at 5500 1st to 2nd yuk DA............1027 FT RT...........=.349 60FT.........1.828 330...........5.430 1/8............8.471 MPH..........80.72 Run 3 DA.............529 FT RT..........=.291 60FT........1.809 330..........5.409 1/8...........8.444 MPH.........80.89 Run 4 DA..............337 FT RT...........=.642 60FT.........1.809 330...........5.379 1/8...........8.394 MPH.........81.47 OK.....Temp.....DA 5PM...66.5.......1285 FT 6PM...61.9.......967 FT 7PM...55.4.......529 FT 8PM...54.8.......491 FT 9PM...52.3.......337 FT
Ok guys i ran our times to corrected sea level. I ran mine at 5pm DA as i was only 1 that made that run every 1 else i ran at 6pm DA. 5pm DA = 1285 JIM - ET 8.40 = 8.27 MPH 81.47 = 82.60 6pm DA = 967 Steve - ET 8.08 = 8.00 MPH 84.99 = 85.86 Lyle - ET 8.13 = 8.05 MPH 84.29 = 85.15 Andrew - ET 8.30 = 8.22 MPH 83.11 = 83.96 Lou - ET 8.37 = 8.28 MPH 82.69 = 83.54 ----------------------------------------------------- Now converted to 1/4 times at sea level Steve - 12.54 Lyle - 12.62 Andrew - 12.88 Jim - 12.96 Lou - 12.97
Yes Dave it did. Now converted to 1/4 times at sea level Steve - 12.54 Lyle - 12.62 Andrew - 12.88 Jim - 12.96 Lou - 12.97
Thanks Andy and did you see i cut a perfect .500 lite on my 1st pass. Not bad for a 65 yrs old lol and Lyle was rite there with his .538. Steve and Lyles tune are so bad ass. Lou and Andrew are both doing well with there tunes to. I guess im doing pertty good for being pure stock tho. Lou is the youngest of the bunch and Steve is getting Lous jeep to be in the 8.20s real soon.
I hope you can get in the 8.10 - 8.20 as Lyle did but hes got that B&G 2 TUNE. If any1 can get you there it will be Steve. Im about as fast as im going to get unless i get a predator tune. The last 2 times out i have ran 8.392, 8.394, 8.402, 8.417, 8.440, 8.444 and 8.471. I want to go do the 1/4 mile in May at the mopar shoot out.
Awesome hanging out with you guys. Definitely irritating waiting 1+ hours between runs. A full house and a couple of ding dongs that wrecked certainly didn't help facilitate traffic flow eh? :novote: Here it goes: 1st run I was shifting into D from R as the tree began and Lou spanked me R/T 1.254 (Anyone got a pillow?) 60' 2.076 330 5.635 1/8 8.605 MPH 82.41 2nd run (T/C off in D) My best time 1/8 time so far R/T .749 60' 1.816 330 5.345 1/8 8.302 MPH 82.74 3rd run (T/C off in Autostick) First of all, I redlighted and then I fricken spun R/T .379 60' 1.951 330 5.478 1/8 8.428 MPH 83.11 I did make the 43 mile drive home in 30 minutes though.
Those are some great times Steve. Wish I could have made it but was stuck at a customer's plant. Ticked me off 'cause the plant was just down the road at the 605 and 60. I didn't really want to be just a watcher. Were there any other forum members therre that did not race? Also... Actually isn't your best RT in Run #3? You had a .291 there...that is about 40% faster as a .500. Hell, I am 56 so I am not that much younger. I would like to just have a consistent low .100 sec range (.100 to .175). (Below those numbers will now be called RTL (Reaction Time Luck) for me.....lol) A LOT of good races are won or lost by a distance of less than .100 secs. and that is usually the racer with the slower RT (higher number) was the looser. A .500 RT is about 1/2 a car length on a high 12 sec run in the 1/4 (so wouldn't it be more than a 1/2 of a car length in the 1/8 like about 3/4?). I see a lot of the professional drag racers that have high RT numbers in the .020-.060 range. Now that is doing an excellant job timing the last yellow to the muscle reaction time to actual brake piston release. They make me sick because a lot of them aren't even that young...like John Force.
