I haven't seen anything posted about this, but I found a sweet plug-n-play hack kit for the MyGig radio. Its called the Lockpick and allows nav control, DVD, satellite TV, and VES video while in motion. It enables the back-up camera input, even your car doesn't have one (available for aftermarket camera). It also allows the use of the back-up camera at any time. Adam, do you know if these MyGig radios are a straightforward install into 06? Ebay has a bunch of them.
No they're not. The 06's use a slower CAN-BUS system than the 07/08s. There are 2 prototype MyGig's in LX vehicles, but last I heard they were not 100% functional. The other rumor I heard is that Mopar wants to make an adapter harness, but they have to wait until some vendor contract is up. I'm sure that they're not in a rush to make a part for backwards compatibility, they'd rather have you upgrade to the new model year. Bah, can't wait for Mopar...we all know this. Hmm. Too bad, looks like it would be a really cool setup.
He has one of the prototypes. I didn't know that he got it all working properly. Last I heard, he was waiting on some chips to build a "black box" to make everything work.
