Curious to see what kind of plugs everyone is running and what gap.

When I first had the car it had the regular Champs in there gapped around .050. (stock gap)

I was told to put NGK 4306 coppers in there and gapped at .035. So I did that, they fouled pretty fast, probably due to that fact I was BONE stock at the time and thats not a good gap from what I found out later. So I took those buggers out after having them for about 6k or so and I am currently running the shorter "Hemi" Champs that come pregapped at .040. Car ran great and still is.

I plan on running a bit more boost when I put the Stage 2 WGA on. (17-18 psi) I also have 3'' 02 housing, 3'' everything else to SEE, and AEM SRI.

I am curious about these plugs:

I know the guys are MPX are smart when it comes to these cars and they seem to totally back these pricey plugs at $30 a set.

I of course would try the colder heat range.

Curious on how these differ than the regular copper plugs and whats everyones insight and expierence on plugs on their boosted car. Which ones have you had the best luck with etc...[/quote]

4306's good for light to mildly modified 5.7's. Gap them at .040

5306's good for heavily modded 5.7's or mildly modded 6.1's with N2O. Gap at .032

Anyone you know tried the 5107?

I am thinking about just going with the NGK 4306 again and gap em right.

4306's actually made my car misfire. Weird.

I use good ol' Champion Coppers gapped at .035 right now. Car runs great.

i never had much luck with the coppers. i would go through a set in about 6 months on the stock turbo. i switched to denso irridiums and i've never had a problem since. i run the itv22's, and know many people running the itl16's and everyone has good luck with them.

we tried the ngk irridiums in my boyfriend's car and the car ran horribly. no matter what we gapped them at the car just missed under boost.

when i go to a larger turbo i'm going to go back to coppers, big turbos seem to like them better.

DCR recomended the NGX Iridium LTZ-6 for my mods and also said to gap em @.025. To avoid spark blowout which I am getting at the 4th gear shift.

I just need to get my major boost leaks fixed. :domotwak:

Cool. I see a ton of you guys are running high boost with big turbo's here. What about us guys on the stockers and close to stock levels? I am thinking about trying those $30 a set "one step colder" plugs but not sure yet.

PSi check, you are using the denso irridiums. Interesting, never heard any feedback on them before. whats your boost set at on your stock turbo? How much do they run a set? I might give those a shot.

i'm not on the stock turbo, i'm s3. but my boyfriend is still on the stock turbo for now and he runs itl16's and he has had great luck with them, no stumble and a smoother idle too. i think he's running .044". they run about $40 a set, kinda pricey but well worth it if you're considering an irridum.

I went with the ngk 4306 3 years ago then tried the iridiums then went trhough two sets of the denso itv 22, and bout to go on third set tomorrow of the 4306's gapped at .032 I have had the best luck with the 4306's. the denso's were great but not at $12 a plug. For $10 a set I change bout every oil change. Didn't notice to much of a difference in the ngk iridiums. Going to try the Granatelli plug wires also
