I raced an SRT6 with lots of extra boost. The guy says no one ever beats his reaction time. I did. He got a .042 and I got a .024. His ET was 12.626 and mine 12.629. He beat my ET by .003, but I beat his reaction time by .018; therefore I won the race by .015. It was the most awesome race. C.
Very cool Carl. I know who you are talking about. Saw him at Speedworld the Sunday after the Rumble. He was putting down 12.4's then. lol Get him to sign up over here man.
Closest race Hello all, That was a great race and the only one I lost that night. The closest I've ever had. Yep he's right I don't lose much at the light and he hit a great light. Beginners luck? We'll have to see the next time out. Carl cut two great lights. So I think he's a bonafide bracket racer in the making. The track was slippery and both our 60' times were slow. It was the most fun I've had on a pass so far. Here's the full numbers off the slip. 1st Race Fast56k Cruzinquick Reaction .024 .042 60' 2.058 1.888 330' 5.472 5.296 1/8 8.235 8.130 87.779 86.189 1000' 10.547 10.513 1/4 12.629 12.626 112.155 110.932 MOVictory .015 2nd Race .085 .072 60' 2.168 1.936 330' 5.674 5.377 1/8 8.463 8.222 88.506 85.457 1000' 10.818 10.608 1/4 12.910 12.738 112.396 109.146 MOV .185 Carl you forgot to mention the 2nd race. You still cut a good light, but my little car will run the same numbers within a tenth or so all night. We would have run another but the track was closing. Ok, so your all probably wondering what does my car have. Sorry to dissapoint but all I have in a needswings CAI (awesome design needswings.com), and just put on ASP pulleys. The smallest kit made, to keep the car as stock as possible, but get a little midrange hp. No tune or anything else crazy to come up with a great reason why this car can keep up with a 500hp beast. Just a very consistent motor and tranny and most of all power to weight ratio. It's new ZR1 territory. Stock is 330 or 349hp depends if you want to believe Chrysler or Mercedes. The intake is dyno'd by needwings at 25hp. The pulleys didn't add as much as the intake, but would have to guess around 15-20hp, I'm sure there's more with a custom tune. The car weighs 2960 soaking wet. The math is scary for such a dependable car. I usually run 12.7's with just the intake itself and stock tires. It was the best add on with big results. Sorry to make my first post so long, but I figured lot's of questions and speculation. You must know that Carl and I have the Jesus factor working as well. After our run, most were calling out his name. You are a great bunch to hang out with, I look forward to meeting out there again. It was nice seeing Ozzie out there as well. We had some great races as well this past fall. Take care and be safe, Cruzinquick
Welcome to the Connection from Chandler. Was that you at SpeedWorld on the 20th? Ron and I where there.
Welcome to the "C" man. As Hal stated above, was that you at SW on Sunday the 20th hangin with our SRT10 brothers and sisters? If so, you were running 12.4's that day, yes? Very amazing sled you have I must say. Glad you guys had a blast. Now that you are here, there are a few other SRT6's here and there and if you drop down to our vendor menu, you will see the ever popular Needswings. hehe Tell all of your SRT6 frineds to stop on in. Ron
Yeah that is because my 60 was in the tank. Our other race was so close that I wanted to get a little extra out of her and she broke loose. Next time I will bring my DRs. We are having an event in March in So Cal. Maybe you can come? Luv to see those SRT6s represent. C.
Hello Hal and Ron, Thanks for the welcome. Yes that was me on the 20th. I was bummed because no one registered for the trophy race just test n' tune. That's why I left early. I stopped and said hi to you Ron while you were at tech inspection. You have a beautiful car. I got to see you run once against the orange viper, and it was a great race. I was running low 12.5's, the track was in great condition that day. I beat the orange, blue, and yellow vipers earlier that day. They were still getting used to launching and gave up too much on the line to catch me. The orange one finally came around and starting running 11's. I'd love to make a so cal event. I need to add a few more miles on the car anyways. It only has 2k miles so far. Thanks again. Carl I'm going to try and make it Sat. if I'm not out showing houses. It should be nice and chilly and they should have a trophy race. See you out there. Cruzinquick
Thanks Markus. Nice ride you have there. Love those rims. I want to put those on my 63' nova. The SRT6 is fun to drive, you should hit the crossfireforum.org and find someone closeby to drive one. Drkne55 - yep, I got it with 200 mi, now it has 2,058. I hope it adds some hp when it wakes up. Cruzinquick
