I agree with Josh at HoP that maximum you can usually expect on the high end is 20 to 25 horsepower per psi. 50hp per lb is, well, INCREDIBLE! I'm sure there's a lot more involved than what's been leaked out which is why there's no dyno graphs or actual "real" info on this setup. Just don't tell MatFab, it's taking him 22lbs of boost and our 426ci to get around 1000hp. lol Joshua, HHP
hey i heard that... don't forget about the additional 100-500 shot of nitrous :tooth: Don't worry when we get numbers they will be posted.. and I'm just hopeing the block will be usable.. cause somethings gotta give BTW josh where are my parts.. I KNOW bruce gave you the list.. call m on my cell if you hav any questions with it. 248-895-8612 Bryan
I usually figure 5-7 percent per pound of boost (IE 5PSI x 6 =30 percent) horsepower increase after all parasitic losses.
Upon further review: They never actaully said it was their car (or even an LX) They never said it was their project They failed to ever show the picture they promised They failed to ever show the dyno they promised It takes about 2 minutes to google "turbo psi horsepower equation" and get a number of VERY technical, very detailed, scientific/mathematical explanations and equations for how much power to get from any given set-up. I could have spouted off some of those findings and looked like a genius. Suffice it to say: The claim was bogus, and Lee is just a grandstanding poser. BUT In the spirit of MomsRT, I'm hereby announcing that last night I dyno'd my new nitrous setup. Results: I made 858 HP and 913 Ft-lbs of torque. I blew the wheels off, the dyno was smoking my car was so strong. But then I did get a full pull. Unfortunately, although I set some new records I forgot to videotape or photograph the event. No one was there to witness it, and we saved the file to my flash drive, but I backed over the flashdrive on the way off the dyno rollers, so that evidence is gone. But I now hold the record for both HP and Torque on an LX. I'm concerned about my ability to keep up with suppply because my new concept is so good that too many people will want it. So because I won't be able to keep up with demand, I'm not going to be replicating this feat. I guess my secret to power will have to die with me.
Heard it was never their car, their project, their shop, or their dyno too. Which explains why they didn't have correct information, or the right/ability to post a picture or dyno as they had promised. Seems like they're getting heavily involved with fabrication.
It was a fabrication. Not an SRT motor and not in an SRT. Turns out to have been a big "nevermind." Didn't happen. At least not as "reported" to have happened. You will never see a picture of the car, the turbo setup, or the dyno. It was make believe.
Why the f*** would anyone do this? Someone must have been drunker than Britney Spears on a Monday night.
Damn, I am so glad I just wastes all that time.......WTF. Typical franks racing bullshit. This ain't no different then other so called projects they had runnig making big power, do you ever see a dyno or slip...........nope. Not to mention the "professional built motors" supplied to two other, other forum members that basically had to go in the trash. Oh and lets not forget the piston design they ripped off from another well known engine builder and then claimed to have re-invented the wheel with ther ground braking design. Oh I could go on for hours. To fuching much.
