My little ol car has a GT35R and we max'd it out on the dyno, which caused me to feel that this turbo is already to small.

I will say that 37psi pulls like a runaway rollercoaster on a steep downward decent. Nice open roadways suddenly become very short distances as this turbo propels the car in such a manner that a car can be in front of you well into the distance but before you know it you are getting on the brakes as the rate of acceleration becomes rather dangerous as you quickly erase the distance and find yourself rapidly approaching the car in front.

Torque steer is on a different level, on one occasion at a mere 28psi I had the car literally yank me into the next lane when the boost hit in 3rd gear (which the car is much much stronger in 4th), had a car of been in that lane I would have hit them.

With the power of the 35r behind a built engine pushing a lightened SRT, it has at times made this car a risk to street race in the upper boost ranges...

and the GT35R is to small...

Tranny is stock and axels are stock, though they are new from a 2004, the 2003 axels never broke and they saw well over 100 track passes.

The engine was built by Solid Tech in Albuquerque, Weisco 8:8:1 .020pistons, Eagle rods, DCR studs and gaskets, fully ported/polished big valve race head, 1000cc injectors and many other goodies...

When this engine was built the DCR Stroker wasn't being offered by DCR, if it was I probably would have bought the bottom end kit and left the assembly for Solid...

I have gotten over 1 year of service from this built engine, albeit the car doesn't drive everyday...

Only complaint is it goes thru spark plugs rather fast... as the car has a rather fat and safe tune...

I belive that the lil red car went 636hp at some ungoddly torque. I remember it was one of the first cars to hit 600+. These folks are very modest(not including Gabe) and would love to tell you that the car at one time ran a 14 sec pass. From what I knowof the car it can make it into the 700hp range, and I dont know alot about it. BUt i would trade my dad for this man any old day of the week.

I love this chick. She has some of the best cars. All owned by one person to. :)

On another note, I have the FM E1 turbo on my car. Very nice upgrade from the stocker. It was my cheap ($525 at the time) interim mod until I go with either a S3 (or big wheel S3) or a 50 trim. My trap speed at the track says I am pushing approximately 330 whp or so, not bad compared to my last dyno that stated I had 250 whp and 342 tq. My overall goal is just over 400 whp but what overides all of that is being able to put that power down on the ground and make it useful. This car is my DD so I want it to be fast but be able to put the power down on the road, not just at the track with full up slicks. I was heavily leaning towards the 50 trim before but I am starting to sway more towards the S3 turbo now and maybe get the big wheel option to squeeze alittle more out of it. But I am going to stick with my S2 no toys PCM for the time being. Hopefully when I am ready to buy the guy selling all the S3 turbo/manifolds will still be selling them for like $900.

Good luck guys with your turbo setups.

PTP SST V1. Regardless of what you think of PTP, this turbo is freakin' awesome.

311 hp and 390 tq on a S2 w/toys car and the SST (and various other bolt ons). Completely un-tuned and on PCM controlled boost.
