A few of the board members have been saying that my tune is garbage. I am currently running a PMT CMR tune. Got Stroke is one of those such people. He informed me that I have been mislead and I am hoping you will bring light to this.

I purchased an emial CMR tune from you in the fall and didnt have great results with it. Id love to get you to redo the email tune you provided and me in hopes to get better results than my PMT tune.

Im am willing to go to a local dyno and log whatever you want me to. I have an LC-1 wideband installed so I can get whatever A/F information you need. Of course I have the diablo handheld as well and can log whatever you want me to log from there as well.

I will videotape my entire session with witnesses. I can only offer my word that I will disclose any and all results from this process. I will vocally promote any gains you are able to get my car as remote as they could or might be.

I would love to end all this bickering and be your opportunity to be fair as well. I feel PMT has been treated unfairly but I also feel this has nothing to do with you. I am only asking you for your help in this because your tunes are the ones that are being used as comparison to what I currently run. I ran your B&G stage II PCM for around a year. Like I previously stated, I purchased an email CMR tune from you as well. I have been a customer of yours.

I have a 2006 charger srt8. I have FRI econo heads, FRI tomahawk cam, FRI ported and ceramic coated intake manifold, Airaid CAI, Kooks ceramic coated long tube headers, Flowmaster exhaust, Pro Torque 2800 converter, DSS/PPP 1000HP axles, Oil cooler, 160 tstat and ASM phenolic spacers. I also run a ZEX nitrous kit but do not want to include that in my tuning. PMT did not tune my nitrous setup. I dont think I am forgetting anything performance wise.

This is an honest attempt to put this bickering to rest and to actually compare results. I know that you are not going to be able to "Dyno" tune my car as PMT had the opportunity to do, but that obvioulsy has to be taken into account by all that review the final results. I will put my car on the dyno to give you any and all information as needed to properly tune my car.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    Dan

let me say this....... please lets conduct ourselves in a respectful manner if we tend to disagree on a tune.......

lets not let this thread turn into the other pmt vs. b&g debacle........

Flybyyou, I have no problem in dialing your tune in for your vehicle..I gave you a base tune originally but you never gave me a chance to dial it in, or give me feedback so I could adjust the tune closer.. instead you jumped to another tuner.. The point being it may take more than one time to get it perfect for your vehicle and mods,, That is why the email is a good feature..I have no problem working with you and your dyno shop to nail it down for your application. Just as I am sure you gave the other tuner more than one chance to ge it right..I look forward to working with you.. Email me your tune along with a mods list, and any WOT A/F Data and I will work with you. David

Great news Dave. I'll get all my stuff together tomorrow and give you a call. If you are closed for MLK day, Ill contact you on Tuesday. I will not bash anyone, you have my word.

I agree that I could have handled my previous tune better. I just liked the idea of getting a dyno CMR tune so I jumped at the chance to get it done.

Anyhow, thanks for your quick reply. You will be hearing from me.

    Dan

Im going to log my dyno runs with the Diablo data viewer software. Ill do a baseline run with my car as it is with the PMT tune. I will then return it to stock and do a run that way. Then I will do a run with the email tune I have from Dave unless he wants me to just send him the data I get from the previous two pulls. Ill talk to him about that part.

What PID's do you guys want me to log from my PMT and stock dyno pulls? Ill log the same information with Dave's tune.

    Thanks

Legmaker,I have been tuning the hemi since before 03 and have engine dyno tuned almost every combonation avalible,, I have worked with multiple cam/Head vendors early on perfecting the calibration for there camshafts/heads. I can get a email tune pretty darn close based on your mods list.. Like I have always said and will say it again,, A email tune will get you close, I try to leave a few HP on the table and be safe on my base email tune.. and I can always take any vehicle and get a few more HP out of it on a dyno,,but it comes down to the cost vs the extra HP and is it worth it?? And with the fuel quility issues we are seeing as posted by DiabloSport on showing how 93 oct fuels from different gas stations have show big differences on HP/TQ numbers shows that you can get your vehicle dyno tested one day and go back another day an gain or loss HP/Tq based on the fuel quality..

Yes, you need the Diablo predator in order to install and run a CMR based email tune.

    Chris,

An email tune will be a VERY basic and CONSERVATIVE tune. Once it is installed, YOU must use the Predator to Datalog certain items so you can THEN return the tune to the tuner (in this case we will name B&G).

The email tune will take SEVERAL attempts before the tune will be exact for YOUR car and YOUR location (elevation, DA factors, blah blah blah).

    Hope this helps.

    Dave,

My stock tune, the original tune you sent me and the 1st revision you sent me have all been emailed to you.

Its bitter cold here today so I dont think logging or dyno'ing will be good today. Ill shoot for tomorrow for those things.

Let me know what you think,

    Dan

thanks for the feedback dave. i guess there is no substitute for experience!!! as for gas, yeah, here in florida there is BIG swings on quality of gas!!! i recently dyno'd and filled up just prior at a place i had never been to. dyno run was horrible (few factors involved), but it was the after dyno prefromance of the car that was awful!! for over a week, the car ra like crap until i filled up back at my usual place........ as for the tune, i will call or pm you on the detials.... thanks again!!!

    Dave,

I received your tune this afternoon. Thanks for your reply. It is 27 degrees right now so I think its best I wait til tomorrow to mess around with anything. I sent you some of the information you requested and I will log tomorrow for you as well.

I appreciate your response to my request and I look forward to the results that I can share with the boards.
