    Same idea.

I guess depends on if you are set on that design. There is that...and the engine bay designed intake, i.e. the new Hammer design. I think you will see more gain in the latter, but I dont have JSRT experience, so I cannot pass proper judgement, only an opinion.

Lou sorry i didnt make it to Irwindale Thursday. I still want to help you with my former Jeep. The BWOODY or GSM is a good choice. On that vehicle you need a tune more than anything else right now. The stock ECU is in it and totally holding it back especially with the heads that are on it.

I see you are running 8.5's at Irwindale, like i told you that Jeep will run 8.1 by putting it back the way i had it.

I think the filter on the BWoody is bigger. Am I right or wrong here?
The BWoody uses (2) 45 deg turns instead of (1) 90 which means smoother flow, and less pipe between filter and intake.
Be warned these units are nice but you will do a LOT of filter maintenance. They get dirty FAST sucking road grime like vacuum cleaners. I know because I have GSM. The main reason I like my GSM or would like the BWoody is because the engine bay looks clean and open....not some huge filter absorbing eyespace.
I may change to AFE Stage II just to see if it improves my buttdyno. I would also add that I am fairly confident the HP will improve some. When I do it I will do it, it will be on a dyno just to post results. The problem here is I will probably do it at GSM and I don't want to...uh...I don't know how to say this..... but you can figure it out.

Can the GSM be fit with a larger filter element?

    Oh No.... not you again....:beerchug:
    Hey Luke...
In the filters present location you can't make it any bigger because it will not fit due to down space......but....If you mounted a 90 right where the filter connects you could put a much larger filter. If you have an SRT you will have to loose the brake duct on that side but then you will be getting a WAY better ram air effect.
The 90 can be found at Summit racing. It is made by Spectre Performance....which is a nice place to go to make your own CAI (or do we even want to discuss the "C" word....rotglmfao). Spectre Performance has some really nice piping stuff.
Look here under "Modular Air Intake Components"...real nice site and reasonable cost....all components can be purchased at Summit:

Unless you're doing a cam stay away from converters, you'll only get more spin off the line (slower ETs).

The Airhammer isnt released yet for the Jeep, although it is built and getting powdercoated right away.

I think those are all Jeep tests.

Ryan doesnt understand the vehicle. Seriously the tune needs to come first, then headers, then ported manifold. Save your money and do these mods first.

Assuming he's going to get a custom CMR he needs to do the tune last, or just run a canned tune for now, otherwise he'll need to do it twice.

Get them to me and I'll test them. If either make mores power than the BWoody I use now I'll buy it at retail, if both do I'll pay for and use the better of the two.

Scott (Hammer) is Dyno'ing the Jeeps Hammer when it is finalized, that should give some indication in relation to a stock airbox. But I would like to see the Bwoody vs Hammer on the same car under identical circumstances.

Agreed, but I dont know how much he wants to spend up front. I can always get GSM/Scott to retune it. The headers and cai wont give him the bang for the buck on that Jeep the tune will.
