Unfortunately I could not make Phoenix but did managed to get out to California Speedway today. I met up with BruteSRT8, Envied, Kenny Wayne Shepard and one of his bud's. The weather was a cool 61 degrees, but unfortunately we had to endure :surprise:23mph winds cross winds. The DA was +1408 which for Fontana is damn good considering the track alone is at 1150' above sea level. All in all without even trying I got in 13 runs and went through 3 bottles of nitrous. My best uncorrected run was an 60'-1.75, [email protected] 2nd best uncorrected was a 60-1.78 [email protected], corrected [email protected]. I'm just glad I'm now in the 11's club!!!
Congrats Steve. FYI, you don't correct nitrous runs but you still ran an 11. Nice. Also I think the correction factor should be in the other direction if you ran in negative DA air.
Thanks Andy...........I screwed up.....I meant positive DA. We NEVER get negative at California Speedway.
it might sound pretty lame but I broke into the twelves on my last run 12.98. Congrats on the 11sec run.
Way to go Steve . Boy i wished i could of gone to see how fast mine bone stock would of ran in the 1/4 mile since i ran a 8.39 at Irwindale last thursday. Steve i ran da at Irwindale thursday for the guys and at 9pm the DA was minus 63 ft lol. Lou was looking 4 you as i called him to tell him what the da was on his runs. He ran a best of 8.54.
Its only fair to correct nitrous runs as most places are not close to sea level. Not fair for a guy running at Englishtown to compair his times with some one in a state where they never see minus DA at all.
11 Sec Club Congrats Steve -- nice runs 23 MPH cross winds -- that's just a light breeze for Fontana Maybe we can start a thread on corrections for crosswinds (you know -- velocity, angle of the dangle, etc.)
Fontana Congrats Eric Heard you were having some issues wuth your beast. Did they all get straightened out?
