Just got the bwoody catch can installed btw looks awesome. :thumb3: So i get it all hooked up and put the stock intake back together and start her up. Rev to abound 2500-3000 rpm and let off, of course the forge bov hits then a shuttering sound? compressor surge? Big deal?? Is something wrong? Should I worry? :hmm: thanks in advance
I have no idea about SRT4's but why do you have to remove the intake for the catch can, all I can suggest is retrace what you did, check all hoses and clamps maybe a loose one, heck I'm grasping here dude sorry
had to remove the stock airbox for a place to mount it. Maybe it has always done this? Just noticed it today though?
did you be sure to hook up all the lines? when I pulled my airbox to do my mounts the other week I kept fighting with the lines to the noids popping out.
I also have a cone filter. Maybe just a 'sucking sound' My set-up looks like the one in the bwoody catch can how -to forum on the red srt-4
oh I think I misread your post. My neon always had a little shutter when letting off, with opening my airbox and the s2 wga it became louder. It is surge, but it is expected to have a degree of surge for having an undersized turbo for the motor.
suck------vrooom-----pssssht-----shat tat tat tat thats the best i can describe it without recordin it and postin it
So after the BOV lets go and the rpm's are dropping you hear a fluttering sound is that correct? Do you have a CAI, SRI or did you leave the lid off the airbox or cut out the bottom?
Yes AFTER the bov lets go i hear a fluttering sound, I took the whole airbox out looks like a cold air intake, just the tubing is left with a cone filter on the end.
oh so you're hearing turbo flutter then (compressor surge). that's normal with a intake, well kinda intake lol
