Ordered and purchased a spare 2008 ECU and sent it off to B&G with a note of what I wanted, and would be doing. Obviously he listened. When I first drove off to the gym didnt really feel a difference. Finally as I was moving at about 15mph and pulled it into first....I nailed it...:thumb2:..my sons head flew back into the backrest. It shifted at about 6200 and lurched forward. That put a smile on my face!! I'm one happy SOB!:headspin: Afterwards, went to my test spot this Jeep is DEFINETLY as fast as my 2006 Jeep. The 2008 Jeep ran two weeks ago at Irwindale consistent 1/8mi at 1.85/60' and [email protected] in complete stock form. It layed over at every pass, at every shift when torque management took over. It also dynoed at 360hp/370tq and according to my records this pretty much matches my modified 2006 Jeep times and horsepower. Now after the B&G tune..:surprise:... it immediately accelerates, shifts "right now" at 6200 lurching the Jeep forward. I do believe once the Predator is available this will be the icing on the cake. Tomorrow it goes to GSM for billet fuel rails, dyno results and completion of the ZEX Nitrous system, then dyno results with the juice! I'am optimistic and looking forward to the hp/tq numbers and track times.
Nice!! Just wait 'til the adaptives kick in. I really felt the difference with the B&G after about 50 miles of hard driving. I look forward to seeing your numbers from the track!
Ozzie.....your spot on. The adaptives have kicked in and the wot shifts are pretty impressive. On my 2006 the B&G was worth a solid 2/10+ at Irwindale.
100 Shot Hey Tony.......nitrous is the way to go buddy. With factory plugs and no bottle warmer in a DA of +1500 I clicked off a [email protected]. Corrected at sea level that is [email protected] :surprise: and that was with a 100shot.
