Like Tony said, it's a simple fix with either a Predator (permanent) or Dashawk (repetitive). Either way the CEL will not affect performance.
I know. I just didn't want the cel popping up and wanted to wait on getting a tune until i can see if there are any issues with them for the 08's. I am shooting for having the heads and headers done next month if i could only make up my mind as to which headers.
You can get a predator and not put in a different tune, just stay stock and have the predator turn off the o2 heaters.
very true. was hoping to buy the predator and tune at the same time and hopefully save a couple of bucks.
Andy this is all Good, so I dont have to think about heads and cam for now. Since my exhaust is not too loud I'll order catless mid pipes and definitely wait in line for the pulleys and 90 mm TB to be available. I will need CMR tuning but I'm not to familiar on how to upload/ download this computer stuff, I'll probably need some help in this dept. Claude
Great minds think alike, those are the next 3 things I have lined up for mine as well. Anytime you're ready for a CMR from Dave @ B&G let me know and I'll walk you through it over the phone. It's super easy!
Predator soon!!!!! For me anyways, I hope.:thumb2: Off topic a sec im thinking of getting the ported and coated intake manifold and having it painted over the coating Inferno Red with the ghost flames like on my valve covers.
Tony that would look pretty badass. I almost had mine done in the same color as my CAI but decided on black at the last minute. Figured it would be easier to sell or would work with whatever color the '10 w/ 6.4 comes in.
Will '10 finally come with 6.4? I also want a CTS-V by then, will go down the Detroit auto show next week to eye them out
+1, I was really confused on how to download the CMR tunes now it's a piece of cake plus the help from Andy
Must be a rookie when it comes to the internet lingo. lol SCT is a much better hand held and easy to DL tunes to.
I sure hope so ('10). Jesus, maybe we were seperated at birth, I'm picking up a new V as soon as they're available as well. :thumb2: I'm kind of pissed they decided to use a smaller blower than the ZR1 (1.9L vs 2.3L) gave it less intercooling ability, and CAST pistons...WTF??? Other than that it should be a badass ride. Pulley + tune and bolt-ons should net 600rw+.
If we're talking Ford/Chevy I agree, otherwise Diablo is supposed to be quite a bit ahead of SCT when it comes to DCX products. Dave (B&G) can tune with either so you can still choose one over the other if you want. Mike Wesley (aka Autologic back in the day) is the one that cracked DCXs code first for Diablo.
I am by no means promoting or get paid by Diablo, but what I do promote is FACTUAL statements that are based on things that have been proven, maybe you meant to say "Based on my experience the SCT is a better hand held and easier to download tunes to on other vehicle applications." Instead you make it seem like you have done head to head comparrison tests with the U7135 Diablo and whatever is available from SCT for the SRT8 Jeep, oh wait there isn't so I dont know how you could make that statement???? FYI, my 10,000 combined posts from over a dozen vehicle forums :salut:definately does not make me a rookie
:bang:Just messing with ya TexHemi. And yes I am comparing my experience with SCT with other vehicles. I've had great experience with SCT and I only hope they are great with DCX. :ilovesrtc:
I was warned about people that live in Alaska-LOL:bye: no problem bro I dish it out myself sometimes gotta learn to take it back as well:beerchug:
