I dont see why this isnt possible if you swap the internals out and crank up the boost. its all tuning an boost and fuel. :starwars:
5.7 won't stroke out that much, and you can't go past 12psi on the Novi 1500. Besides, the 5.7's take the Novi 1200 blower. If it was an R/T with an engine swap, then I say yes it is possible. besides, the HP this magazine is stating is at the Crank, NOT the wheels if its true.
You cannot go over 12psi with a Novi1500 with the GSM intercooler after it. Other than that the charger is rated to 30+psi. (yeah I know there is very little flow to get to that psi) I made a test pipe removing the GSM intercooler and I got over 15 psi (where my boost guage ends) and then ran out of fuel and detonated. I hope to be running over 15psi continuously this season.
<shows Chad the middle finger> lol I know all about it Chad. Problem is the 1500 loses efficiency after about 14psi.
If you ever seen or experienced Ron's suction capabilities... Chris claims Ron sucked every ounce and drop out of... I'll leave it at that.
It was in the engine master magazine. It was on a Dyno Stand so that is crank HP not Wheel. Had the Mopar Heads, some header Bigger injectors and a MSD control system and a FAST ( i think ) computer running the motor. And yea it was a crate 5.7 AND the reused the head bolts <ick> -Robert
