Guys, I have hotchkis sways and a strut tower bar. I'm looking to upgrade my spring and shocks with either kw or tein coil-overs. However, I want it no lower than .5 versus stock. Will this have any performance benefits over my current setup? Also which are a better system kw variant 2 or tein with edfc? I've heard squeeking issues with tein but have never heard bad about kw with any car let alone the lx. PS- Is it possible to use the hotchkis springs on a srt8?
From driving cars like Ricks then getting back into a stock SRT... I would definitely say it makes a MAJOR difference!
You will want coil overs if you want to get rid of that front end clunk. Also, from, what I read they seem to ride the road noticibly better.
From what's on the market right at the moment, both Tein and KW offer a tuned front/rear set that would work very well for you, Will. It's best not to mix and match components, IMO. Tien are more easily adjustable than the KWs from what I hear. I have had the KWs on for over a year, using them for both track and street, and I love 'em. I have no experience with the Teins. Anybody?
I'm interested in what you find. I am considering coilovers but I think I'd like to maintain stock height (Magnum) and I haven't heard definitively if you can do that. Seems that you can, but... side question I've asked a few times: Is the front overhang identical on all the LX's?
without a doubt THE single best mod i have done to the car yet!!! the ride is substantially better, the handling is even tighter, and the car just feels much more planted and solid!!! well worth the price!!!
