So after months of looking for a SRT Magnum, I found one locally here in Phoenix. It was a 2006 with 45k miles on it. Had all the options, but the dealer just got it in, and they had to do some things to it and get it cleaned up. This is on a Saturday I found this. Put $1k deposit on it. Supposed to pick it up Wednesday. Wed comes around and the car is not ready. Be ready on Thursday. Thursday comes and still not ready. I go to the dealer, do a walk around to make sure all the items would be ready on Friday for me to pick up. Completed all the paperwork as well, so I could just pick it up.

So Friday I go to the dealer and pick it up. It's still not ready. After what was supposed to be a 10 minute pickup, turned out to be 2 hours. After much debate I am taking the car home, they will pick it up on Monday to finish all the work. So I throw my backpack in the backseat, the car stops running. Start it back up, stalls again. At this point this is God telling me to back out of the deal. And that's exactly what I did. I said forget it, I'm out of here.

I go home with my head hanging low. I go online, as I did every hour until I found this one, and a 2008 SRT pops up with 14k miles on it in San Diego. I call the guy right away. 1 owner, bought it as a weekend car, fully loaded even with the DVD system for the rear seat. Worked the deal, flew out Saturday, got picked up at the airport, did the paperwork and drove the car home.

What a dream! Found a 2008, last year made. 1 of 239 made, and 1 of 29 in Steel Blue Metallic. I feel very blessed that this one came up when it did. It was karma for the 2006 deal going south and me backing out of it.

So I am a new owner of a 2008 Magnum SRT8. Love the car, as I knew I would. I'm a huge Mopar fan, have a 2013 Ram 1500 4x4 to go with it. Going to keep this low milage and it's my hobby car. Looking forward hearing from everyone and learning about your rides as well.

Here's a pic of it having some fun!

Welcome from a SIX MAGNUM (One is an 06 SRT currently @ 12,000 miles) and clearly NOT driven in any inclement weather. We also have two 300 SRTs. One of these is super charged and a blast to drive.

CONGRATS on an awesome find! YOU are gonna love that car. I'll be watching to see the progress on this one. Thanks for putting out a picture of it.

Nice and clean. Now treat it nice, and behave yourself.

Welcome and glad you got the better of the deals.
