What gauge or gauges should I buy when installing stage 3? Right now I have the Auto-meter carbon fiber series pyro, oil, and a/f narrow band. I figured I would swap these out for a wide band but not sure which would be the best. I'm not wanting to waste some money on gauges that I don't need, but like to have the ones that I do need. What do you all have or recommend? Thanks for the help.
You don't really need any new gauges, except maybe a boost gauge, but if you only buy one gauge, make it the Aeroforce Interceptor. That gauge is awesome!!! It can read and log everything that your ECU sees over the ODBII port, and it's just plug and play in your dash.
Interceptor was the gauge I was trying to remember. I seen them awhile back but forgot the name. They seem like an all in one type of gauge. Thanks. And yeah I forgot to add a 30/30 boost gauge to my op.
Aye, oil pressure, and A/F are always good. Forgot to mention, the stock boost gauge only reads up to 20psi, so you definitely want to look at changing that out. The thing about the Interceptor is that it reads about 40 different things, and you can display two at once. I display Knock Retard and Boost on mine, so it's a great gauge.
i have a boost gauge (of course), oil, wideband, and a scan gauge. you really don't need anything else with those gauges, they tell you just about everything you'll ever need to know about your car. the two best widebands are the innovate (xd-16) and the aem uego. i prefer the innovate due to the extra features (ability to calibrate, log, etc).
Aeroforce Scangauge Pro (Interceptor) AEM Uego Wideband As far as the EGT goes... any reputable company. Go with Autometer if anything.
How useful is the Scangauge's EGT reading? I know it comes from the computer and the stock EGT gauge, but how different would a standalone gauge with an aftermarket pyrometer be?
From what I have read is that the autometer is a calculated value and is usually 100 degrees off. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutt it is consistently off by 100degrees so that being said you are pretty damn close.
