The bumper has to come off in case anyone was wondering. They give you new rivets just no rivet tool. Need to get me one to see if this will work for me.

wow, i did not think there was enough room for the hitch to fit between the bumper and exhaust tips. very cool. my wife was looking at one but did not like the center exhaust due to hitch reasons..... mmmmm, might have to take her back to the dealer!! hahaha

I will take more pics when I get it installed, the hitch does stick out about 2 inches from the bumper. The old exhaust hanger comes out and the hitch becomes the exhaust hanger so I believe aftermarket exhausts should work. Here are some pics of somebody else's hitch with the factory exhaust.

Delete this before any of my friends ask me to help them move, LOL my excuse so far was that there was no hitch available for the Jeep

What is that hitch rated at? And also does it only mount with the 2 bolts in the center?

Is the harness necessary for the 2007's? I know my 2007 has a harness underneath, on the left side already. Is part # 82211503 the same harness as the one on the truck, or something different?

Also, would this hitch work with the Borla S exhaust? If so, I'm game.

No four bolts, if yoou ever looked underneath where your exhaust hangs that is a bracket that gets replaced with this hitch.

I believe so, but it also comes with a little box so you can have the 4 pin exposed. I did not buy that part, hitch only, to see if it will work with the Mopar exhuast.

I will take pics from underneath when I install it. You will have to be the judge

I still can't believe the full package where the tips are turned downward. That's just embarassing as I've said before. It doesn't look so bad sticking out a tad. I'd probably send the hitch out to BWoody and have it powdercoated (your color choice)and then install it!

Thanks for the pictures. I'm sure this can be improved by shortening the unit so that it does not protrude from the back. The receiver can also be moved a little higher between the eyelets for the chain.

WOW, you had to turn those tips way down. My Borla-S sits in the hole approximately 3/4" all around. There is no way it would work with it. Nor would I want to even try to turn the tips down to make it work. It would look out of place. Yours however looks pretty good, but I don't like the hitch sticking out. Looks out of place. I guess I will have to use my XJ for all my towing. :)

I just ordered one of these, and I have the Borla S on my truck. I'm gonna try to get this thing on there and see how it looks. If it doesn't work, I'll have it for sale. Will report back after I get this thing.

Take pics as I too have the Borla-S and I don't even have an inch between the top of the tips and the bumper.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but I need a hitch and I needed it like last week. The dealer here in Montana says the hitch is on backorder and they have 3 of the none already sold. They have a hitch for a reg GC and it looks the same as the one in this pic, except for the hangers. I can easily weld hangers, are there any parts that these pictures dont show ? The hitch for reg GC is a little bigger so as long as the exhaust drops, I can make up the extra inch or so when I fab hangers.

    Thanks
    John
