Not to make him famous... to make him a target. watch the video, I promise it is worth the time. http://www.invisiblechildren.com.s3-...amazonaws.com/ Then take the time to take action. I did. ________
You know it's a scam, right? Kony is a monster, and needs to go.... I agree. But the 'charity' wanting money is not reputable. They will not disclose where the money goes and the only financial document recovered shows only 31% of the money collected goes to help. Don't be fooled by a good production viral video. I'm jus sayin. http://guyism.com/lifestyle/advice/kony-2012-viral-video-scam.html
There is a level of shadyness to this whole Invisible children thing that doesnt sit well with most people. And being that they have even admitted to "simplifying the facts" or as some would say "omitting or distorting the facts" in order to sensationalize facts that are at best a few years old. After looking over their financials and listening to Ugandan responders to this movement, I saw what i needed to not support it. There are other movements that support the capture or more likely death of this guy. So take what you see in that film with a grain of salt. There is more to the story. Do your research and choose who and why you support things wisely. I am not necessarily saying that others should or should not support the IC movement....what I am saying is that what I have seen, despite their response (where if they distort facts in the "movie", it makes me at least question any message coming from them), I don't buy it enough to give my money.
The financial reports I saw (not the pretty charts they out out) shows that they did raise quite a bit that went towards helping the kids. I have no doubt that this group is helping in some way. They just don't out enough of the money they raise towards the effort as I would like. So he is making positive impact, this was just my opinion
